I only ever had one of those (and still got). Winter 1961/2 edition, massive purchase at 10/6. Mustve taken a few weeks pocket money t secure that little gem.

A development like this could have huge implications in the rail sector.
One of the biggest challenges when looking at expanding the current infrastructure is the electrification of routes.
Cross pennine, for example faces some real challenges trying to incorporate OLE. With trains being too close to tunnel ceilings currently.
If hydrogen trains are anywhere near becoming serviceable, then engineers and the government should be looking at projects like that before throwing money at it

I had a shed full of them (pardon the pun) and when we moved house about 16 yrs ago I took them along with other books to the auction House at Burnley. Don't know what possessed me to do that ,but I really regret it as they were a massive part of my youth being a geeky trainspotter. I've regretted it ever since. :( :(

Some of them, depending on the year I guess, fetch decent money in the railwayana auctions.

I did the same with some of the more rare BFC programmes.
I've managed, eventually, to get other copies of them all back but at a price.
