I'm quietly confident we can get something tomorrow, they aren't exactly prolific, and Tarky returning will ensure we're much more solid at the back.

I'll go for a 1-1, Wood to score our goal, if we could get a point tomorrow, and then beat West Brom after the international break, the table could look very different, and we've got 2 home games following those away trips. Tough home games admittedly, but we've shown in the past, we can beat the big boys on a given day.

Normally I would be welcoming you southerners to the toon, sampling our real ales then climbing the many stairs at SJP to watch a match in the distance. Sadly not today, no fog on the Tyne but lots of heavy rain, here’s hoping and come back next year.

Come back next year? Why, will you still be in the PL? I'm not so sure.

You certainly have some nice beers up there but we have some here as well. I've got a couple in the fridge just waiting for tonight.

Think it all depends on who we have available. If JBG comes back and takes some weight off Dwight, then I can see us getting something. If he doesn't, then we might struggle.

Can't see Barny starting, but if he does, then who knows? Thing is, both Barny and Vyds work better with JayRod, so getting him back soon is crucial.

Stephens has had a full week of training with the squad, so that could be crucial too. Hopefully he'll be a bit more influential.

So many variables. I'll go for 1-1.

Good possibility of 1-1 (of the individual scores, that's the lowest odds (11/2) at the bookies) and that would be a decent point to get out tally underway for the season.
