New Bond film delayed again.
New Bond film delayed again.
Been put back until April next year. I was looking forward to watching in a socially distanced cinema as well.
Re: New Bond film delayed again.
Chances are there still won't be full crowds then either. Can't keep delaying it.

Is it not about an infectious virus? I’m sure I read that somewhere

I feel sorry for the cinema’s. I’ve not been since lockdown and won’t be whilst you have to wear a mask!!

Re: New Bond film delayed again.
I've been half a dozen times and I'm going again on Monday and Wednesday next week.
Rocky 4 on Monday by myself and taking my son to watch Akira in Imax on wed, which should look amazing.
They don't really enforce the mask wearing when you're sat down, they do however ensure that all seats booked have a couple of empty seats between groups and I've been to 4 different cinemas.

A big part of me agrees with that, but I've reached the conclusion that f I ever want to go onto Turf Moor again then I will need to embrace the idea of wearing a mask in any public space, so that's the future I'm afraid.
Re: New Bond film delayed again.
Great. Daniel Craig is deadful. I’m fact the worst Bond ever.

How can they expect you to bite your nails whilst wearing a mask?nil_desperandum wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 10:00 amA big part of me agrees with that, but I've reached the conclusion that f I ever want to go onto Turf Moor again then I will need to embrace the idea of wearing a mask in any public space, so that's the future I'm afraid.

It’s not that I have anything against mask wearing as such, just that I don’t fancy smelling my own breath for two hours. Probably wouldn’t notice it so much on the turf.

Maybe Burnley supporters will be given an exemption on mental health / stress grounds.

Re: New Bond film delayed again.
Most cinemas are doing deals on ticket prices.
Cineworld - £4 for a number of films, Akira in Imax cost me just over £5 for my lad.
Vue - £6.99 a ticket most of the time.
Plus they're all showing a lot of older films, so I've watched things like Flash Gordon, the first 2 films from the Nolan Batman trilogy (my sons fav film Is Dark Knight so he was well chuffed to see it in the cinema) and then Rocky 4 on Monday night.
I've seen a couple of newish films.
Amusingly they still check to see if you're recording the older films

Poor fishing - but then you did catch me I guess!
1. Sean Connery
2. Roger Moore
3. George Lazenby
4. Pierce Brosnan
5. Timothy Dalton ( although they were good Bond films)
6. Daniel Craig ( nothing remotely Bond like about him)

Re: New Bond film delayed again.
The top 4 above had a more natural coolness about them. Dalton and Craig seem to be trying too hard and fail. Just my opinion of course. I think Bonds have run their course and they should think of some new ideas. For example have a female secret agent series of films but just not called Bond and with more relevant themes.

My neighbour did the motor bike stunts....his first Bond film. He was given tickets to the London premiere scheduled for last March and he’s dying to see the film and his name in the titles. Poor guys got to wait another 6 months.

You probably won't have to wait too long for that.Boss Hogg wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 11:19 amThe top 4 above had a more natural coolness about them. Pretty soon Bond will be gay, female, black, slightly disabled in the middle of the week, possibly ginger and will be fighting to save the world from deforestation and possible over use of fossil fuels.

Re: New Bond film delayed again.
Early Roger Moore was excellent the mix of cool charisma with an edge of toughness and charmingly misogynistic is as close to the Fleming character as any imo .
I think Daniel Craig has been pretty decent tbh though as his character has had to be modernised it’s certainly reigned the scope of the role . I believe there’s been extensive post production re-editing and extra scenes filmed after the original COVID delay due to the general political climate as well , though understandably so really in an industry almost terrified of offending its own shadow .
Moore
Connery
Craig
Dalton
Lazenby
Brosnan
