No consistency. St Maxim gets challenged fairly gets a free kick. Long is barged on the floor and doesn't play act and gets nothing.

I was under the impression we’d gone bust as a club, so it’s a nice surprise to see us able to field a team tonight. Anything tonight is bonus, even a heavy defeat.

This midfield/this team misses Jack Cork enormously.

I won’t be accused of ‘writing him off after two games’ as is always bandied about when discussing nee signings performances early days - but Stephens, thus far, is not looking good alongside Westwood. I hope we get a right winger into this team pronto so that Brownhill’s energy can be put back in there. It’s very static.
Agree. That’s why I put Brownhill in the centre and Pieters wide in my chosen team. I can’t see what he offers that’s any better or different.

Stephens is proper garbage. No need to accuse me of writing him off, as Brighton already did that when they sold him to a PL rival for a nominal fee.

I'm quite ok watching it thanks - we all knew it was going to be more direct tactics with the 2 of them playing up front. Much prefer when we try and play the ball.

If JBG is remotely fit, I'd get him on right now for Stephens. Improve in two positions for one sub there with Brownhill moving into the middle

Just because he’s the new player so I’m watching him with interest. Not putting all the blame for this on him, just making an observation.

I love Sean to bits, but I do wonder if his constant negativity and belittling of our business model for the last 6 months has rubbed off on the players at all.

Every manager in the world wants more money to work with, even Guardiola I dare say. Sadly you’d have thought he’d become used by now to our modus operandi, but his absolute naffed off-ness for the last 12 months cannot be conducive to a happy camp, particularly with how bad it’s been over the summer.

That’s as much down to Garlick’s ridiculous boundaries on finance as much as Dyche’s worry for how a bad season will negatively effect his brand image and career prospects.

I’m glad we’ve two CMs for both positions, it’s showing! For those that knock Cork, we’re missing him desperately.

I’m not going to say we are going down, I think Dyche will sort it, but it’s looking like a long season, particularly if Garlick doesn’t back Dyche.
