Re: Abysmal
Might as well play the kids, at least they’ll show some desire to play as there was pretty little desire tonight.
All claret fans ever ask is desire and fight and commitment, none of that on show tonight. That’s two games in a row now as well.
Afraid to say maybe this club has gone stale, it needs some new blood and ideas.

A performance that mirrors us as a club at the moment. The only people who need to be walking are those who have the comfy seats in the bob lord.

If someone paid me my current yearly salary for one week of work I would run through brick walls. No excuse.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 9:57 pm9 games in the summer.
A very short break.
2 games a week
It's a hell of a lot to ask of what is an ageing squad.

Re: Abysmal
The problem is though that the longer he stays here with his current attitude which seems to be demoralising and de motivating for the players, the worse it is for BFC, and therefore Dyche himself. As has been said by others on other threads, differences between manager and board should be very much in house, not in public. I understand that football is not like other business models as most of the workers (players) earn more than the owners or bosses, but they are still employees, as is the manager, and should perform accordingly.

Re: Abysmal
It was an abysmal game. If you look at it another way we were beaten by a poor referring decision and a goal keeping error.
Things are dreadful at the moment but if Dyche stays we’ll be ok.

Seriously though, life is hard enough for us all at the moment and for some of us, things like football are keeping us occupied. Trouble is I’m really depressed and this team used to lift me win, lose or draw. Now they offer nothing.
So close to giving up on football now, it’s draining too much from me instead of helping my psyche like it used to

Move on?huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 9:58 pmI’m sick of reading that we shipped out a £15m CH.
He made it more than obvious that he didn’t want to play for us again. Would you play a CH that doesn’t want to be here?
Move on.
Posters on here time after time after time want Garlick to back Dyche. To already have a starting CH ready to replace Tarkowski. Yet one we had got sent away. He was signed by a manager that only signs British players due to the fact he goes (apparently) in to great detail about their character. Not only that but he was our record signing.

Yup. Hard to disagree with this. Disillusioned with both the state of the game now and the direction our club is going. Hard to take any joy from football at the moment during a time when we need some.Zlatan wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 10:23 pmSeriously though, life is hard enough for us all at the moment and for some of us, things like football are keeping us occupied. Not much coming from the left either apart from the odd cross from Taylor, dwight constantly drifts inside offers no width or shape..

Just remember, things will get better (both in life and football). They always do, eventually. Keep your chin up mate.

You can’t continue to make silk purses out of pigs ears.
I am afraid this might be the end of our dream. Money talks and we don’t or won’t spend it.

And they have done.... too often.
someone on here posted a stat about how an individuals pace reduces yearly after a certain age.
Our squad needed a rest. hardly got one
Re: Abysmal
Zero arguments with the OP.
Re: Abysmal
The tactics are shite but how can they be any better with Kev Long as starting centre half and <insert any player here who doesn't play right wing> playing right wing?
Re: Abysmal
Morale
Rock bottom throughout the club it seems. Tough now.

Totally agree with OP, and a lot of what has been said on here. What a change to read a informative and considered thread. Good read.

Re: Abysmal
We went out to a family meal last night (only 6 of us though). TBH I wasn’t bothered in the slightest about missing the game. My son was checking the score during the meal as he still has a degree of enthusiasm left.
We are in a lot of trouble and could possibly drop this season. I am not too bothered about that either. The whole Premier League behind closed doors product has put me off football in general and I can count on one hand the number of games I have viewed so far this season.
It will be strange if and when they allow a fraction of our support back on the Turf. The whole experience could make me even more apathetic about football and BFC. It will be difficult anyway, as will the ballot for tickets allow for all five of us to attend the same match? Imagine if only two of us were allowed to travel up and attend? In a nutshell, we as a team are abysmal and the Premier League Covid hit offering isn’t much better. And do you know what, I don’t think too many people care anyway?

Re: Abysmal
Totally agree with the points raised by the OP. I said some time ago that Dyche's constant sniping in interviews was doing far more harm than good. His negativity has filtered down to the fans and it appears that it has also had a negative effect on the squad.

Re: Abysmal
Said the same last night mate, in my football teams group chat. I was singing Burnley songs to wind my daughters up whilst cooking their tea and I was thinking to myself, it’s a long time since I woke up in a morning absolutely buzzing for the football with butterfly’s in my stomach. I really can take it or leave it these days, miss those days. I honestly think it left me when we joined the premier league, which is strange because as a kid all I wanted was to draw a premier league club in the cup.Zlatan wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 10:23 pmSeriously though, life is hard enough for us all at the moment and for some of us, things like football are keeping us occupied.
