Re: today’s footy (Sunday)
Cracking game for the neutral, it does make you wonder when the 1st 0-0 is going to be, there's no sign of it being anytime soon at this rate.
Now 3-1 this is a crazy game.
Now 3-1 this is a crazy game.

Not good for the bottom teams though.
Re: today’s footy (Sunday)
Goes to show that even the best teams in the league can have an off day if they’re missing key players

4-1, Watkins hatrick, and he doesn't look that lost to me.

Got to say, I’m with Frank, that Watkins looks rubbish... one trick pony - all he can do is score...

I make that 176 to 1 with me vs Taio in talking ****.
I do hold my hands up, but do think it's been a lot more about the providers than him.

Although I can't bring myself to listen to another 45 minutes of that prick Carragher droning on and on quite easily the biggest homer pundit/commentater in history

Re: today’s footy (Sunday)
Shows how little possession counts for anything in the modern game, Liverpool have had 75% of the ball in that 1st half, and yet they go in 4-1 behind.
What on earth does Klopp say to them to turn this around, every time Villa go forward they're threatening to score, Gomez has surely played his last game, he's all over the place.
Credit to Villa they've been excellent to a man, and Barkley, Grealish, McGinn & Watkins are running the show, this could get even worse for the Scousers 2nd half, because they'll have to chase the game, and Villa have been deadly on the counter.
This is a staggering scoreline but ever since the 3-0 defeat at Watford this Liverpool defence has looked shaky, and as Leeds and now Villa have shown they are not supermen.

Re: today’s footy (Sunday)
These are crazy results and in years to come these results will probably have an asterisk next to them denoting the empty stadium period. The most notable difference in the team performances have been defensive errors it seems some players are hearing every shouted remark that they wouldn't hear with the noise of a crowd and for a brief moment they appear distracted it's gonna be a lottery season.

Villa have lost £450m over the last 10 years, have just spent £85m on summer signings, have complied with FFP, dont ask me how.Vino blanco wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 8:02 pmI repeat myself, it's amazing what a couple of good signings can do.
They should have been relegated last season, but stayed up because Hawkeye didnt see the ball had crossed the line v Sheff Utd.
Basically a very good indicator of everything rotten about top level football.

Re: today’s footy (Sunday)
Surely Carragher will be a contender for Spitting Image now it's returned.
I do agree he's a homer, and he doesn't even attempt to hide it, mind you the Neville's aren't much better.
At least Souness will say it how it is, and he won't mince his words in doing it.
