Valerian root.
Hi, Iβm just wondering if anybody as used this before to combat stress & promote healthy sleep cycles? I realise itβs not clinically proven hence asking people for individual experiences, thanks.

Re: Valerian root.
Tried it for the reasons you mention. Didn't seem to have a great effect but I blew my bum gasket a couple of times while I was on it!

Yeah I've used it a few times in the past and it works pretty well. I haven't had major sleep problems but a big mug before bed definitely does something. Similar to a weak valium.

Nice cup of hot Chamomile tea 30 minutes before retiring.
Re: Valerian root.
savers CBD and Valerian tea. Great for relaxing and helps sleep.
Re: Valerian root.
Home bargains do a valerian hops and passiflora tablet that's pretty good. About 1.50 a box. Works for me but get intense vivid dreams sometimes. Some use it for astral travel!

Are you confusing it with Digitalis?
I suspect it would be pretty difficult to kill someone with Valerian. Unless you dropped a sack of it on them from the third floor.

Ah right, it's not the Valerian that kills 'em.
Can't say I've ever watched Midsomer Murders, looks bonkers.

Re: Valerian root.
OP reads like first line of dialogue from an NPC in Skyrim. If I interact with him again he'll add a side quest to collect 3x bone meal, 2x jazbay grapes, 10x nirnroot and 5x valerian root. No lollygagging.
Re: Valerian root.
Now I'm reading the thread back but in the voice of Skyrim NPC's. One poster has glitched onto the roof and is talking to another who is hovering over a blacksmith's workshop. One is walking in circl....aaaaaaaand now he's disappeared through a wall.

I can recommend "Dragonfly tea" "Night Sky Calm" which contains Valerian as a pre-bed drink. It definitely aids your sleep. I used it during the early stages of the lockdown when Whitty & Vallance, alias "Doom & Gloom" were terrifying the British population and I had trouble sleeping.

Does it effect your dreams, or just keeps you asleep longer without waking up several times during the night?Jakubclaret wrote: βSun Oct 11, 2020 10:00 amUpdate, thanks everybody for the input I can definitely vouch without bias the stuff works.

Re: Valerian root.
No, when you sleep you sleep solid no interruptions, the other poster had it right when he said it's like a weak valium, Kalms contain it but at a low dosage the herbalist I went to I got a far higher dosage at 400 I think Kalms is something like 30+.FactualFrank wrote: βSun Oct 11, 2020 10:02 amDoes it effect your dreams, or just keeps you asleep longer without waking up several times during the night?
