Did she cook the brisket in the Ninja? I was thinking of trying doing some brisket in the slow cooker. And were the potatoes air fried?Steve1956 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 6:23 pmOMG...my wife is a culinary goddess, ninja offering for Easter sunday..Charlotte potatoes halved and marinated in chopped garlic, rosemary, olive oil & garlic oil cooked in the ninja for 30 mins at 200° served with brisket and a couple of Yorkies and gravy,I died and went to heaven today..long live the ninja...we need two.

The brisket was a little pot roast she did in the oven, she air fried the potatoes they were absolutely beautiful I'm just having what was left of the potatoes cold they really are lovely....looks like I might have to bite the bullet and buy another NinjaClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 6:34 pmDid she cook the brisket in the Ninja? I think her secret of getting good results is the marinating of what she cooks in it beforehand.
Re: Ninja foodi multi cooker
So... the good lady went and bought a dual zone air fryer from currys last weekend. All you people saying how well it cooks are spot on - fantastic pork loin chops in one side with baby potatoes in the other last night... sausages and bacon for breakfast today, really nicely cooked.
Offers on at currys right now if anyone else is interested

The ninja now cooks almost everything we eat these days,we even did a mince round in it the other day,the wife now is on Amazon looking at the deluxe models...at nearly 300 notes
Baked potatoes in it are absolutely fantastic,it's the best kitchen gadget going and in these troubled times of high energy costs is a great alternative to the traditional oven.

I've never done a baked spud in one - will have to give that a try. How long (for example) does it take to cook a small/medium chicken?

Re: Ninja foodi multi cooker
It depends on which model you mean, there are many differing versions and most will cook chicken. I have a Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer- AF300UK (https://ninjakitchen.co.uk/product/ninj ... &gclsrc=ds) but we do cook chicken breast pieces from frozen in 30 minutes and between 12 and 15 minutes fresh. I'd struggle to get a small chicken in either side, but the newer larger version will and they quote cooking a small chicken is 75% faster that conventional ovenElectroClaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 11:41 amBeen interested in one of these for a while now.

We only ever use our oven for Pizzas or Sunday roasts now (convenience of cooking meat and roasties all together)Cook up to 25% more† – easily fit a 2kg chicken in each drawer! Up to 75% faster than fan ovens*. Up to 75% less fat than traditional frying methods**.

Re: Ninja foodi multi cooker
About 45 minutes to an hour, but each model will differ I suppose,we have had our Ninja ages and they have improved them 10 fold since we got it so I suppose the newer models will take less than a hour, trail and error till you get it to how you like them,I also purchased some liquid salt that I rub into them, like I said in a earlier post we did a dinner sized plate pie in it the other day and it was lovely...the wife just bangs everything in it it certainly paid its way, unlike most kitchen gadgets that end up at the back of the cupboard forgotten for ever.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 12:02 pmHow long do they take to cook? That's a large potato smaller ones will take less

Re: Ninja foodi multi cooker
Glad I’ve seen this post. I’m looking at getting the 2 tray XL one. We’re having a new kitchen and some building work done so it will help when our appliances are out of action. I’ve never heard anyone say they weren’t happy with them.

It’s confusing, so many models, is the AG301 approx £179 one a good one for 2 people ?
Re: Ninja foodi multi cooker
Looking at this one, its 2.5kw, isn't that like boiling a kettle to cook?

Plus if the kids use it there I’d no worry about gas, boiling water or excess hot oil
Easy to clean too

Waiting to get one myself. Torn between the foodi and the double air-fryer.
Just keeping my eye out on HotUKDeals as both have had decent price reductions fairly recently and might be worth hanging on until Black Friday or similar.

Totally agree, just not sure if its a good idea with the energy cost.BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 2:36 pmWe’ve had this 2 weeks and it’s really good

If the wattage quoted is correct, it'll be a hell of a sight cheaper than the oven, surely.BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 2:46 pmI think they’re cheaper than using the oven but probably not the microwave
But a wider range of uses, easier to use and safer than the microwave for kids
One thread above mentions 75% cheaper, thatd be great.

Re: Ninja foodi multi cooker
I suppose with it being a small cavity the heating element would only be active some of the time, so power factors would be involved around the 2.5 kw compared to between 2kw and 5kw of a standard electric oven, so can see a saving there. I am sold, just going to keep an eye on the price as in July it was £175, compared to the £229 now and as they say never buy in September as that is the benchmark price for Black Friday price cuts lol.

We have a Dual Zone Ninja and it is brilliant. It can Roast, Bake, Dehydrate, Air Fry, Max Crisp and Reheat.
A whole 2kg Chicken in under an hour in one Drawer and whatever you like in the other.

Does it take up much room on the worktop? I take it it’s smaller than a microwave?
Re: Ninja foodi multi cooker
Looks like there’s none in stock anywhere! Bugger.
Re: Ninja foodi multi cooker
Thanks for that, John. That’s the model I’m after. Shame it’s out of stock everywhere! Just hope it’s back in before my kitchen gets ripped out.

Re: Ninja foodi multi cooker
The wife just made an all singing all dancing spaghetti bolognase in the pressure cooker part of the ninja in about 10 minutes,as opposed to it taking at least 45 in the oven, she broke the pasta in half and cooked the works all together
Saves money on electric, she is a member of a online group swapping recipes...it looks like there is nothing you can't do in it.
So we just saved money on the electric and had a lovely tea
Next project is Scallops....ninja what a fantastic kitchen gadget.
