Scotland vs Slovakia

Post by FactualFrank » Sun Oct 11, 2020 7:32 pm

Is it possible for us to get into this game and make it worth watching? It's either this, or Family bloody Fortunes.

Perhaps a game of guess the number of cards, first scorer, correct score etc?

Might be the better option. Even the fake crowd can't be bothered.

Meanwhile Chester goes on with his money tree
(really love it Chester and its an integral part of this board so I please ask for forgiveness in my attempt to spice up a Scotland v Slovakia thread)

I've put it on mute now... it's actually more entertaining.

I think they definitely could have got a better host to be fair.

It's acceptable, but could have done better.

Just caught the final minutes, that must be the narrowest football pitch I've ever seen. It looks as though they've taken about 10ft off both wings.
All I cam think is the Slovakians must have some brilliant wingers.

Another victory for the Scots, 7 unbeaten for them now, and a victory for the CR in Israel, the top meet at Hampden on Wednesday in a crunch tie, the winners of that, if there is a winner, will almost certainly top the group at the end of the section.

The Scots under Steve Clarke aren't pretty to watch, but they ain't half effective, and hard to beat these days.

Just watched it on record... 'condoms' - doesn't take much to realise she's had enough to fly a kite out of sight, for that to be the first thing pops into her head as an answer!

They played well last night, particularly in the second half.

Yes they did well considering the number of players they were missing, on paper you'd have them as underdogs in the play-off in Serbia, but the Serbians are hardly pulling up any trees recently, so it's possible the Scots could finally reach a major tournament at long last, it's crazy that they've gone over 20 years without competing in a major finals.
