Like a new signing.
Re: Third Kit
It’s a bit difficult to tell what the actual tone of yellow is due to those moody shots.

I've seen that somewhere before, I'm sure of it.
Re: Third Kit
Yep the 2015/16 kit, just thicker and thinner piping on sleeves and shorts, and a poorer badge on this seasons.
Although sponsor blends in a little better on this seasons .

A cycnic may say the news was held for release on deadline day in an attempt to deflect attention away from our woeful lack of recruitment.

Re: Third Kit
I'm assuming they have rushed this out because we will be wearing it at West Brom although there's no reason why we can't wear claret and blue
Re: Third Kit
We are wearing it at West Brom. The Umbro twitter picture makes it look much better.

Re: Third Kit
Two players stand out for me in yellow.
Billy Hamilton in that gorgeous one from years ago, and Ben Mee from recent times. When I think of these players, I see them in yellow away kits.
That photo from the club website looks like it’s a white shirt, photographed thru a yellow filter. It’s just wrong.... much better picture supplied by Umbro.

Re: Third Kit
It's all about opinions but I prefer the club pic. The yellow looks more subdued, more mellow. The claret on the Umbro pic is also a bit red looking for my tastes.

Re: Third Kit
No my choice of colour but at least it’s an accepted change colour for us alongside white and sky blue given it’s now 45 years since the first yellow away kit.

Re: Third Kit
It was. 1975/76 when we introduced the V home shirt. The yellow away kit was the first shirt we ever had the previous club badge on.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 9:52 pmIs it really that long? The one thing I liked about the kit as modeled by Sam Vokes was the socks, they were great

Didn't the club start off in green and white? And have we ever reintroduced it (if correct)?

Re: Third Kit
I think with this kit and Dwight’s new contract we can chalk this up as a pretty good extended transfer window.

Re: Third Kit
Proper is that
Apart from the squiggly shite on the front, obviously.
Shame our third kit is the only decent one though.

Good looking kit and would make a great home shirt in claret and blue.

Re: Third Kit
Would be all over that if the sponsor wasn’t there, balls, can we ever do away with sponsors for an extra fee or something? I’m sure the club would makes loads of sales without that crap on it. I’d pay an extra tenner not to have that on it!
