I hope this becomes our main away kit, I hate to watch us (or any teams) playing in black or other dark strips.

I liked the dark green one.
My favourite recently , though, was the white kit...looked great.

WBA often had a yellow & green away strip but I think they brought it back a few seasons ago in honour of Cyril Regis

To me there's something about stripes and these massive sponsor logos that just doesn't work.

If I looked at that WBA kit for too long I can see it bringing on a migraine. Might have to think twice about tuning in on Monday night.

The retro one? Thought it was quite smart.

Was going to add to my post that that top brought Cyril Regis to mind.

Wouldn't he? Pace, power, eye for goal, had everything you'd want now in a striker.

Really how interesting. Could you please link me to the original joke because Im absolutely fascinated by the prospect of someone coming up with the same joke as me but slightly earlier.

Thanks in advance

It was. 1975/76 when we introduced the V home shirt. The yellow away kit was the first shirt we ever had the previous club badge on.
Following season Tony for the Yellow kit, first worn in August 1976 in the Anglo-Scottish Cup against that Blue and White team down the road ;)

My intolerance for female commentators was not helped when whoever she was on Five Live called it maroon.

My intolerance for their co-commentators was compounded when Clinton Morrison arrived just after kick off.

I was glad to get home and put it on the tele!

Love the yellow kit.

Would prefer it without the sponsor but they're needed more than ever now.

Did we wear the blue away kit for three years? I’d got it into my head that the yellow came in for the 75/76 season.

Yes Blue or White in 75-6 ... with all kinds of shorts and socks combos ... Thinking about it less so the Blue that season more often the White kits ... Blue at Old Trafford with Claret shorts and the V kit home socks ... and at Arsenal I think but definitely at United there is some TV footage of that game

I think they wore the V with sky shorts and socks two or three times certainly at Leeds and Leicester

Odd really you would think it would have come in with the V kit ... matching collars and cuffs ...

That denim blue one we had with claret collar and various different shorts. Just about everyone’s favorite away kit!
