Not sure anyone has slagged Kane off. If that’s in response to my post then I acknowledged that he was fantastic today, whilst also highlighting that when the game went to 3-0 he was on a mission to score a hat trick. He was very unlucky not to do so but on a few occasions there was a better option than a shot. He wasn’t responsible for Spurs blowing a three goal lead.Hibsclaret wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 6:38 pmAnyone slagging Kane off for that obviously knows more than me about football. He was the best player on the pitch by a mile. He’s playing a deeper role most of the time and knitting all the attacking play together. I read some guff on here but really....

Re: Todays football
Blaming that collapse to any extent on him trying for a third goal is nonsense. Was unlucky hitting the post. Not sure there was any point stating that he had been greedy during a great performance like that. If anything this season he has, I think, more assists than anyone else and has improved his game to the point where he is the opposite of selfish.

Are you struggling to read? Why do some people on here have to ignore what others write and argue against something that hasn't even been said.Hibsclaret wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 7:17 pmBlaming that collapse to any extent on him trying for a third goal is nonsense. In the post above yours I said;
'He wasn’t responsible for Spurs blowing a three goal lead.'
The reason why I posted about it, not that I need a reason, was highlighting Spurs' complacency at 3-0. I don't think that Son would have been taken off at 0-0 and I don't think that Kane would have been hell-bent on scoring a third goal. Just to reiterate though, as I obviously need to, Kane was superb today and was the best player on the pitch.

There’s no argument. Backtrack away but what you said, and are still saying about the hat trick mission is nonsense...

I'm not going to go over it any more with you though because it's like reasoning with my three year old.

So in the face of classic up the clarets bs we have to be called ‘unable to read and a 3 year old’ within a few short posts.
It would be nice if, just for once, us 3 year olds with reading deficiencies could post without the need to be called a 3 year old with inabilities to read.....after all whatever we can’t do we can still call someone out on the horse manure that they post on here..

I’m still annoyed that the thread title clearly states “Todays football” and yet it was initially started yesterday, which is not today.
I have a right to be miffed... not any of you discussing another teams collapse like children

I didn't say you were unable to read, or call you a three year old. You've proven my point perfectly that some people don't read what others post.Hibsclaret wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 7:52 pmSo in the face of classic up the clarets bs we have to be called ‘unable to read and a 3 year old’ within a few short posts.

Shall we just drop it? I posted something about Kane which you disagreed with, I don't have a problem with that. I was correcting your claim that Kane was being slagged off or that I thought he was responsible for Spurs throwing away a lead, which isn't true as evidenced in my posts.

I can’t read sorry...posted on today’s football from yesterday by mistake....apologies
Re: Todays football
Spurs throwing away two points is perfect for us. They are the ultimate flaky team who when on a roll can knock 5 past us but who could equally self destruct. Man City or Liverpool might take a bad result out on their next opponents but not Spurs.

Let’s hope so....I don’t want Kane playing like that next week tbh
Re: Todays football
If we have Bardsley and Long starting next week we're in trouble the way Son and Kane are playing.

Re: Todays football
Exactly how do you solve a problem like Kane & Son, no one has found the answer yet this season, and if they carry on like this they're going to both be in contention for the golden boot and POTY, if we can keep a clean sheet next week I'll be staggered, on the other hand if we can put their defence under pressure they've shown their fragility this season, and in particular today's collapse was staggering even by Spurs standards.

Yes, it’s worrying. Given how the early part of this season has shaped up it’s a real shame Hawkeye want working that day because it’d be much better for us if Bournemouth were still in the PL!

Playing badly? Or just looking a ponce?
Hope it’s the former. I’d already clocked the latter, but he’d looked annoyingly decent in the early games I watched.

A few had the Grealish look last season that Luiz tried it and that useless keeper they had cant recall his name, now that Cash is doing it,if I was Grealish I'd take the pricks to one side and say, find your own way of looking a bellend and stop trying to steal my look.

Amazing what you can do when you spend over £200m in two seasons.
Re: Todays football
Villa look a very strong side this year. They’ve spent wisely and Dean Smith has put the parts together very well.

Unlikely to go down unless Grealish gets injured
Re: Todays football
Fixed that for you
Tbh, I’m glad a team like Villa have spent and look stronger. It is what football needs, another team to help break the top 6 monopoly like Leicester have done. Teams like Villa, Everton and Leeds need to be strong and stay pushing and keeping the usual suspects on their toes.

Well if it was it's going to go unpunished sadly, at worst it was deliberately endangering an opponent, at best it was reckless, how he escaped a red card for that beats me, and because the officials saw it, the FA can't take any retrospective action. The Enclosure wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 10:28 amSouness on Sky described Pitchforks tackle on VVD as "an assault".
And why Pickford has suddenly taken to dashing out from his goal is another headscratcher, he did exactly the same in the England game and it led to the penalty award, he needs to calm down and stop acting so rashly, surely CA can't tolerate his mistakes much longer.
