Brighton Sign Welbeck

Post by bodge » Sun Oct 18, 2020 12:22 pm

Good gig for him that, another Premier League contract.

Remains to be seen how many appearances he will make with his fitness issues.

Can we use this thread to print what the nutters on social media think.

A few predictions...

Sack the board
How did we miss out on that one
Garlick needs to leave
Dyche Out

To be honest, I’m not sure anyone will be that arsed.

One of those players who has survived of reputation for much of his career. A great player who because of either a lack of desire or failing body has never been on the pitch long enough. Cannot See him making much more impact than he did a Watford. Must have a decent agent though. He was a player we were linked with many times while he was a United, whether it was ever an official interest or regular fan choice; is another matter. Looking back cannot say I’m sorry we never got him...

Phew, that's one to tick off the list of players not to sign.

I’d have taken him on a pay as you play deal, but too risky for anything more than that, as far as I’m concerned. It’s a shame as he is a decent player when he’s fit.

Wonder what Brighton's wage bill is now with Wellbeck adding to Lallana.

Doesn't sound like they're bothered. Money is immaterial to them.

He's a useless lump anyway, so no wonder people aren't bothered that we didn't sign him.

Wouldn't want him here but can see why Brighton have signed him on a one year deal.

He couldn't even do his summer show without her jumping in. So I believe that one! :)

I remember watching him play against us for Arsenal. He was superb that day. Obviously a good player but has suffered with injuries and poor form for a while now. Shame.
