We might need the last four games this time

Post by Spijed » Mon Oct 19, 2020 9:11 pm

We tend to be pretty much safe around that time but me thinks we might need to make use of the last few games to ensure our safety.

We've played four games - we have another 30 to play before we reach the last four.

For anyone concerned our last 5 fixtures don't look too bad on paper, I know you don't get results on paper, but the following should provide points should we need them.

WHU (H)

Fulham (a)

Leeds (H)

Liverpool (H)

Sheff Utd (a)

Same things are said every season when we aren't picking up many points

That's possible but we can't do much about that if it transpires, all we can do is take each game as it comes, and amass as many points as we can, if the season is halted early then that will be as a last resort, and in such a scenario I'd suggest we'll all have more to trouble ourselves with than footy.

Bit early to start getting concerned about the last few games.

We already have now re ^^^

re points - we need to be away from bottom 3 by mid Jan / Feb.
Regardless of an "easier on paper" run in.

Just saying

It's funny.
If we had 10 points after 4 games not many (if any) would be tipping us for top 3.

Panic....happens every year...

last year around Christmas I was at Bournemouth and fans were saying we have to win certain games....a few weeks later we are unbeaten for ages winning loads of games we wouldn’t expect normally to win.

It gets very tiresome every season particularly when, in all likelihood, our stay at the top table will end at some point. That is pretty much inevitable given previous history and only a handful of premier league ever presents.

Just enjoy the ride instead of panicking after 5 minutes every season or when we have a group of tough games against the big boys. We have proven we can beat anyone and lose to anyone on our day.

Disgraceful that the board have not backed Dyche this transfer window with all he has achieved for the club.

If we can keep our squad fit and get Mee and Cork back, we should have enough to see the season out.

I am a glass half empty person with BFC but we have Mee, Cork, Lowts and Bardsley unavailable for selection with Brady, Barnes, and Gudmundsson just back from long term injuries and Jay finding his feet after a short term lay off-so hardly the best situation to be in at the start of a season is it?
