Salary shock.
I thought they earned more than this. £25k per annum for coaching kids that could bring in millions.

Re: Salary shock.
Why is it a shock?
It's Huddersfield, I'm fairly sure they were talking about closing it down at one point.
Danny doesn't have a long and illustrious history of bringing through star players.
Plus he looks really unprofessional polling people on social media

Re: Salary shock.
Different jobs pay different wages/salaries. Average wage (all jobs) is somewhere around £28,000.
It doesn't surprise me that they are offering £25k for a B team and age group coach.

Re: Salary shock.
Perhaps they should earn more but i imagine in that sort of role there is more than financial reward. Must be an extremely enjoyable role for someone passionate about it and a foot on the ladder if you want to earn more.
I would imagine Danny Cadamateri has earned a reasonable amount and if he has been sensible, not need to do it purely for the money.
There will certainly be worse jobs on worse money.

Burnley will be similar, Danny left his role here for his own coaching school didn't he?GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 10:35 amWhy is it a shock?

A coach who recently left us for Man Utd got his wages tripled by his new club.

Not sure he’s polling really.. the colour of the thumbs shows the point he’s making.

Re: Salary shock.
well yes, I saw that. However if he is prejudicing against himself before applying isn't that also part of the problem? Either he applies for it and goes through a process of interview or he doesn't. If he applies and experiences any form of prejudice then of course he has a right to complain, until he does, he doesn't - IMO.Roger Mellie wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 11:02 amNot sure he’s polling really.. the colour of the thumbs shows the point he’s making.

Can't remember why he left, but the other fella getting his money tripled doesn't surprise me.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 10:44 amBurnley will be similar, Danny left his role here for his own coaching school didn't he?

Re: Salary shock.
I think his point is that he has applied before and never even had an interview. He is leaning towards racism being behind that but possibly they know him enough not to rate him. I wouldn’t know on either score.Zlatan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 11:08 amwell yes, I saw that. However if he is prejudicing against himself before applying isn't that also part of the problem? Re: Salary shock.
I understand that, but I think it is dangerous to infer that racism exists when he has no evidence that it does. Implying that racism is in play when there is no evidence of that devalues the fight against racism, and I would urge him to apply and ask for feedback if he is unsuccessful.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 12:11 pmI think his point is that he has applied before and never even had an interview. The problem he probably has is that he is likely to be well known in the footballing world, and there is a likely to be a prejudice against him but that is likely to be not race or creed related, but most likely because of another reason.
For example, I went to school with a black lad, who was a complete ****, and that is the reason I dislike him, not because he was black - and of course I can evidence that I was good friends with many other lads of various ethnic backgrounds who were not *****. Please do not conclude that I am calling him a **** though, I do not know him personally, perhaps someone at Huddersfield does know him personally.

I agree with that. He is setting himself up for future problems, whatever his perceived injustice.Zlatan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 12:20 pmI understand that, but I think it is dangerous to infer that racism exists when he has no evidence that it does. BTW he played for them twice and is a local lad, from Cleckheaton, so they know him well enough.

Re: Salary shock.
Interesting way of making a good impression - suggesting that not getting a potential job makes the employers racist...
Look read the thread on Twitter, said he applied for 4 other positions there in the past...

He used to live near me and I saw him or his Mrs almost daily on our respective commutes to and from work.
Not seen him for a while, but sure if its covid/weather related or he's moved now he will be far better off financially.
