Good report, CT.

I'd read in The Times that Phil Bardsley had tested positive, but I wasn't sure how accurate the journo was. His words were "Kevin Lock, playing in central defence after Phil Bardsley tested positive for Covid-19....."

Watching on tv isn't the same as being at the game - though my picture quality was worth every penny of my £14.95 and probably better than my usual Sky/BT matches. (Maybe this is just because there weren't too many sharing....).

I was told Bardo wasn't playing because of his brother and that was initially reported. Club have since confirmed that he has tested positive.

I recall not bothering with a couple of away games back in the 1990s at Fulham and Barnet that were televised and until this year they are the only two Burnley games I've seen on TV rather than be there. It's nothing like the same. We Face Time during the games to try and make it more real but it's not. I've found it really difficult writing reports to be honest.

Keep writing the reports Tony, yes there is not the normal zing and zip about your writing but good nevertheless and we all need them. As ever thanks.

Thank you, Tony, above all as you're not feeling well.

Balanced report as ever. I do feel a desperate need to underline the positives. We all know the negatives and the rubbish off the pitch but it is what it is and now we have to be positive and move forwards.

Interesting that you didn't see the push on Long as worth a penalty. I did immediately on seeing it and haven't changed my mind since seeing it a few more times. No exaggerated fall of course but it's come to something if that is a pre-requisite of being awarded a penalty. Special mention from me for Erik Pieters, who did well for the 90 mins. against a decent left footed winger, keeping him as close to the touchline as possible and getting good support from Long and Brownhil on his insidel when necessary.

Eric's versatility has been invaluable this year.
Top pro.
