A petition to potentially help the self employed, please sign

Post by MACCA » Wed Oct 21, 2020 7:10 pm

If you could please take some time to sign this, it could really help many self employed people.
It's a petition to raise the third Self Employment Income Support Scheme grant from 20 percent to at least 60 percent.

It literally takes 30 seconds.

Thanks in advance.

Any self employed people, please feel free to share it too

Let’s not pretend that every self employed person has paid all the tax they should have! The number of self employed that only take home £100 a week you wonder why they bother!!

There should be help for landlords.
Cant evict tenants now for 6 months.
When courts start sitting again they will start on those tenants who are at least 12 months behind with their rent.
Its not the government thats supporting the rental market its landlords.

People that can't work aren't avoiding tax.

This pandemic sure has turned an awful lot of people into "radical leftists", as we're usually called.

Good luck with the petition. I hope it succeeds.

They only get a percentage of the earnings they have filed for tax purposes. So if someone is not declaring the correct amount, they won't get the full help on offer.

Exactly, but let's bring the % of help to the same as everyone else.

Then there can be no complaints

You're probably right, but theyll only get a % of what they have paid, as long as that % is the same as everyone else no one can grumble.

More you've paid, more you will get.

Signed....I wont get into the argument over tax avoidance because it is clear that those who disagree with this have already decided that there is no middle ground.

But how's that relevant to a scheme that's based on the average tax paid over 3 tax years?

Far more worthy cause than the school dinner tossers ont tother thread

Taxi drivers, security workers and others who work in the hospitality sector deserve our support, these guys work long hours at all times of day and night for minimum wage

AYE probably shouldn't have gone self employed if they couldn't afford it

Because now they suddenly realise that they can’t survive on those figures!
