Well I never knew he'd been managing abroad and won a league title... Plus he tried international management

All these agents abroad must be setting us back a few million, Coyle in India, Kean in Oz, no wonder the dry powder store is empty.

TBF to Steve Kean Rovers have hardly enjoyed huge success since his sacking, and if I recall correctly they were sitting 3rd in the Champ when he got potted.

But by then it was first job done. He’d taken over a Premier League club. All it needed then was someone to prepare them for League One. Step up Lying Scotsman.

Not forgetting the revolving door inbetween 😁

Henning Berg

Berg's first match in charge of Blackburn came on 3 November 2012, a 2–0 defeat away to Crystal Palace. His first and only win was on 17 November 2012, a 4–1 victory away to Peterborough. That was to prove to be his only win as Blackburn manager, as Berg was sacked on 27 December, after just 57 days in the post.

Micael Appleton

Appleton's first match in charge of Rovers was on 19 January 2013, a 2–1 defeat against Charlton Athletic at Ewood Park.
On 19 March 2013, after poor results in the Championship, Appleton was relieved of his duties as manager of Blackburn Rovers.

Tony Mowbray 22 Feb, 2017 - Present
Owen Coyle 02 Jun, 2016 - 20 Feb, 2017
Paul Lambert 15 Nov, 2015 - 02 Jun, 2016
Gary Bowyer 19 Mar, 2013 - 10 Nov, 2015
Michael Appleton 12 Jan, 2013 - 19 Mar, 2013
Gary Bowyer 27 Dec, 2012 - 12 Jan, 2013
Henning Berg 01 Nov, 2012 - 27 Dec, 2012
Eric Black 28 Sep, 2012 - 01 Nov, 2012
Steve Kean 13 Dec, 2010 - 28 Sep, 2012

The gift that keeps giving, despite there good start the wheels are starting to come off don’t think they’ll have a sniff of the playoffs, midtable again I think even lower than 11th.

Mowbrays doing ok isn’t he? Frustratingly Venkys are keeping quiet and letting the football people do the football side of the business without interference - and the ship has steadied.

They can’t fix the debt issue, but the stuff happening on the field is quite positive now. I think Mowbray is safe for the time being.

Eight different managers since Sean Dyche was appointed at Turf Moor on 24th September 2012 ..... Despite this fact, it's an indication of how precarious is a Football Manager's occupation, that Tony Mowbrey is now the 11th longest serving manager out of the 92 at present !!

Perhaps the nadir of Rover's recent travails was when Paul Lambert decided to leave at the end of the 2015-16 season, triggering a release clause in his contract less than 6 months into his two and a half year deal .... a rare and delightful case of a Club being sacked by it's manager !

At the end of last season, Sean Dyche was the 2nd longest tenure after Gareth Ainsworth at Wycombe .... he's now slipped to 3rd after Harrogate's ascension to the Football League, where Simon Weaver has been in charge since May 2009. It's unlikely he's for the chop anytime soon, as the owner and Chairman is one Irving Weaver, who happens to be Simon's father :D :D
