Today's footie 25/10/20

Post by tiger76 » Sun Oct 25, 2020 12:03 pm

Saints-Everton first up.

Followed by Wolves-Geordies.

Finally Arsenal-Leicester.

Also both Old Firm teams play in the SPFL.

And there an FA Cup 4th qualifying round tie Flyde-Altrincham big derby that one.

Oh! and lastly BFC Women have a home game against Stoke, looking to build on the 3-1 win they enjoyed at Loughborough last week.

Well well Celtic behind at Aberdeen, it's not been a good week for them and it might be about to get worse.

A thriller at Pittodrie 3-3 in the end, 3 penalties, 2 for Aberdeen, 1 for Celtic, Celtic all over the shop at the back, I can't see Lenny lasting much longer in the Parkhead hot seat at this rate.

Ings vs Keane now, 100th Everton appearance for Keane today, and needless to say Pickford starts again.

Hideous Everton away kit, who on earth thought that would be suitable should be sacked.

That United kit is the worst I have ever seen.

Sometimes think we could do better with kits but usually then look at United’s to make me feel better about ours!

Great goal by Saints, can't see them being in the relegation mix this time.

Nothing can be worse then the Zebra outfit, but this Everton one is close.

Yep if he's not scoring he's assisting, and that's all you can ask of your main man.

Che Adams is much improved, might well be due to working alongside Ings.

It's credit to their board that they kept faith with Ralph Hasenhuttl after the 9-0 debacle against Leicester, it would have been easy to give him the push following that night, but they stuck with him, and now they're reaping the rewards.

At least you can pick the players out easily with it, not like all these black/very dark strips. On another note, Pickford's arms are definitely too short to be a goalkeeper.

You can certainly pick them out that's true, it's not bringing them much luck today though Saints are giving them the run around this afternoon.

Pickford will still be in the goal when England play again, apparently GS rates him as a good ball player, personally I'd rather have someone who keeps the ball out of the net, but maybe I'm old-fashioned that way.

Digne off. Not a nice challenge but probably accidental. He was playing the game on the edge though. Little chance of a comeback now.

That's a red all day long. 2 reds in 2 games for Everton now, and these suspensions will begin to bite soon.

Ings really is a class act. Think he runs Defour close as the best player I've seen in a Burnley shirt.

I'd rate Ings above Defour purely on the fact he played more games, both were top class for us though, it's just a shame we didn't see more of either in a Clarets shirt.

It's a funny old game as they say, a year ago today Southampton lost 9-0 at home to Leicester, 12 months later and they beat the league leaders in style.

I've recently started watching "A league of their own", now that Corden has left, and Jamie Redknapp is on there.

I can certainly see why Louise left him!

Please don't put me down as a Jeff hater. But what does he actually bring to the Newcastle team? They picked him up on a free so no fee involved so they can pay him a decent amount per week. But watching the game today what does he actually do but run about looking abit lost?

Shocking from the keeper there, Newcastle might have stolen a point here, a totally undeserved point but they all count.

I'd agree with that. At this stage of the season a Wolves win would have been the worst possible result.

Don’t think we’ll be competing with Newcastle either, really. Right now just don’t want the mid table to open up a lot more.
