Re: News from the Arctic
Reading this over breakfast the other day.
Opposite the cafe they've turned the village hall into a classroom so better to teach with segregation alongside the village school.
Watching this and reading the article didn't make my coffee taste too good that morning.

Re: News from the Arctic
I do hope that comment was made tongue in cheek?
The fact that the Arctic ice floes are not starting to freeze yet is a sure sign that global warming is having a major effect on the worlds climate. I am not one of those people who pontificate and protest about things like this but they do concern me.
As a diver I have seen first hand the start of the change in our oceans which will, ultimately have a devastating effect on mankind...not in our generation and maybe not the next but potentially our grandkids generation. This is a real concern....

They should have played here in the show cave in May. It was cancelled.
They're pencilled in next Spring, virus allowing.

Re: News from the Arctic
Not forgetting all the methane trapped in the permafrost.
Of course melted ice means clouds, clouds means rain....and with the anticyclones that turn over the North Atlantic that rain is going to end up where? Good job people in Burnley are used to rainy summers so it won't make much difference.

It just won’t. As you say we won’t be here to see the outcome and mankind is constantly evolving to adapt to the world they live in. If they end up with webbed feet what does it matter? Although it will be difficult to get your slippers on.ClaretDiver wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 7:15 amAs a diver I have seen first hand the start of the change in our oceans which will, ultimately have a devastating effect on mankind...not in our generation and maybe not the next but potentially our grandkids generation. I already have gills from the amount of diving I have done so webbed feet would be awesome, save me money on fins for diving! LOLhuw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 9:06 amIt just won’t.
