Never watched or listened to his stuff, but 67 is far too young, RIP John.

haven't seen him for ages, but on the programmes mentioned above, he was excellent. quick witted and very funny.
Re: john sessions dies
RIP John. Always liked him. Had a quick wit and a great talent. Always wondered what happened to him but read an article not long ago. Troubled soul who struggled with stage fright, forgetfulness and his own sexuality.

Still a truly funny man though....RIP JS.
Re: john sessions dies
He’s been working consistently I think. My sister bumped into him in a hotel in York a couple of years ago while he was filming for the ITV series Victoria. He sat a chatted with her and her other half for about 20 minutes and she says he came across as a genuine and lovely man.
Re: john sessions dies
Yes I was reading up on his more recent roles. Was surprised and glad to see he was back working. He was a very prominent and regular on TV in the 80's/90's. Just hadn't noticed him as much in recent years.martin_p wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 8:50 amHe’s been working consistently I think. Very sorry to hear of this. A talented person with a unique - obviously - voice. Not run of the mill like many of the current crop of actors, public school educated and sounding similar. Not many working class actors around these days, except maybe in the Soaps, but I dont watch them

Re: john sessions dies
As a student in Liverpool back in the 80s, I saw John Sessions several times at the Everyman. He used to do whatever the main show was and then - the bit we'd go along to - he'd do an hour of improv as a late show (for a whole new audience). He was just brilliant. Really saddened me to hear of his passing.
RIP John - you'll be missed

That’s weird I was just watching Loch Ness and thought “I can’t believe that’s John Sessions”
