Even the possibility of Mee returning for either or both of the Brighton and Palace games should give us a boost. I'm not saying we'll win either of them but at least, other potential injuries notwithstanding, the ship is being steadied.

Great if Ben is back in the side this weekend,but I think our problems lie elsewhere other than the defence.

We may start getting better performances from Tarkowski, not sure the present set-up suits him.
Other than that, how about contesting the midfield a bit more; once we concede possession we drop back without challenging in the middle third.
I know it's worked for us in the past, but it's certainly not working at present.

Great news that Ben is back in contention, he's been a huge miss, and his absence has highlighted how important his partnership with Tarks really is to our success.

Hopefully his return will bring a confidence back to our defence which has been lacking, and we can start keeping some clean sheets, 1 in 6 games isn't enough when we're struggling for goals ourselves, his return won't solve all our problems overnight, but it'll play a big part in our hopeful upturn of form, even if we can nick a couple of 1-0 wins just to get our season up and running, it might not be pretty but it's points we need now not style.
