Predictions vs Brighton

Post by tiger76 » Thu Nov 05, 2020 12:05 am

I can't see a thread so here goes. 2 out of form teams, and a pivotal game, I'll go for a cagey 1-1, which would be a better result for them than us, but I can't see much to split the teams, so I'll hedge my bets, it's imperative if we can't win we don't lose, we can't afford to give Brighton a 7 point advantage even if it is really early in the season, I'm not panicking about relegation yet, but if we lose on Friday I'll start getting a furrowed brow, and fearing the worst.

Time to get the season on track. They've had disagreements in the squad only a few games in. Team spirit will prevail 0-1.

Brighton are not a bad team and their performances have been better than the results suggest. They won at TM not many months back. 2-1 to them being realistic. Will miss their pies!

1-0 to the Clarets, Brighton play some good stuff, but from what I’ve seen of them lately they tend to overplay!
We need to keep Trossard quiet, I really rate him

Yes there has been rumbles of discontent, I hope Maupay isn't in their starting line-up, they looked toothless without him at Spurs, alas it appears he will return, however if we have Mee returning that will cancel out his threat touch wood.

Yes this got mentioned on MOTD last week they had a lot of the ball at Tottenham, but they got very joy due to them not committing enough men forward, I suspect that'll be different tomorrow, they'll know it's a great chance to open up a gap to the bottom 3, the dangerman for me is Lamptey he's been a revelation this season, if we can snuff his threat out, that'll negate a lot of their attacking threat.

I'd bite your hand off for a scrappy 1-0, TBH the performance matters little tomorrow it's all about the result, and if we return home with the 3 points I don't suppose anyone on here will care how we got them.

Brighton have some good individual players and will have plenty of the ball. I’d settle for a 1-1

I rate Lamptey as well,I’m hoping he’ll be to eager to get forward, and leave plenty of space for McNeil and Taylor ( in theory anyway )

I'm sure we'd all take that right now, it's all about the result tonight, the performance doesn't really matter if we head north with 3 points in our back pocket who cares how we play, at the end of the season all that matters is finishing above the bottom 3, and if we have to dig out some 1-0 wins so be it.

We were much better against Spurs and W Brom and should really have taken more points. The Chelsea game was a mix of players being 'off' along with our usual negative tactics against the top 6 (which Chelsea and M City always punish us for) so wouldn't take that into consideration.

First win of the season for the lads today - I'll go 2-0, Wood with both

We can’t play any worse than we did there last season. And we still managed a draw!
