His Dad is ex military I think. Ex QLR. Did quite a few years. Brother would’ve been laughing his wotsits off when he was puking on that ridgeline. He’s para regt I believe.

Besides being a Claret, more importantly, Jordan North is an ambassador for Pendleside Hospice and has helped the organisation raise funds through his charitable work. He regularly hosts quiz's on FB. Top young bloke in my estimation.

We met him on a train from Victoria to Brighton last season. Nice lad. Shared his cans too. My lad told me afterwards who he was.

As Shane said, just think of Turf Moor Burnley.
Is he suggesting Turf moor is dark, wet, horrible and full of snakes?

He's certainly dominating the air time of the show.
But he's scared of his own shadow. If he can pull himself together if could definitely win.
He's just as likely to walk out at the minute though.

Jordan North has just upped the takeover price by a few million. Turf Moor is his "happy place" - and mentioned I don't know how many times on "I'm a Celebrity."

Re: Jordan North in Welsh jungle
As if people are bickering whether he’s gay or not. who cares either way.
If he gives us some good exposure happy days. Especially now. And especially after some of the news we usually get.
I’ve only tuned in because someone from Burnley is on and suspect there’s plenty more.
Ant and Dec. ‘Happy place turf moor. Which if you don’t know is home of his beloved burnlehhhh. Who are second bottom without a win. God knows what his sad place is!’
We are now the second headline on itv news after the news of a new vaccine. These things aren’t meant to happen in 2020.

The only thing I will say is I think he’s playing a role to a degree. And a good one at that. But that’s part of the game I guess.

At least the lad is facing his fears, although he's in danger of becoming the next Helen Flanagan regarding the trials, he's just been selected for the next one along with Beverley and Vernon.
The advantage to this is he'll generate plenty of air time for himself the club and the town, already he's got people talking about the club and it's only day 2.
My cynical nature did wonder if he was faking his nerves, but you can tell his fear is genuine and not just to gain the sympathy vote.

Burnley mentions on Twitter going crazy... many ignorant in that they think he's from Burnley as in born there, calling him a dingle and saying they'll no longer vote for him to win. That's people on Twitter for you!

Oh! I'll criticise the gaffer and the club when I feel it's appropriate, which sadly this season has been often, but there's some on here who only do that.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 10:09 pmIm not having a go at him, he seems a nice lad and good entertainment. It easy to have Claret tinted glasses, fans of every club are probably guilty of not being objective, and we're no different to most, so I try where possible to assess the situation without emotion, and call it as I see it, and this last few months hasn't been good no matter how you slice it.
I suspect this and the fact folks can't attend the games is one reason why Jordan has attracted so much interest, and anything which paints him, and obviously the club & the town in a good light, can only be a good thing in my view, we've had some unwelcome publicity recently regarding certain issues which I can't go into detail on, but I'm sure you'll be aware of what I'm referring to, if the club gets free publicity on mainstream telly with an audience of millions watching, great let's embrace that.

Re: Jordan North in Welsh jungle
Yeah! there's a name for them, they're called Blackburn fans, I wouldn't pay much attention to Twitter it's full of trolls, I have no idea what Jordan's sexuality is, and I have no desire to know, that's his private business. All I care about is that he's getting Burnley mentioned on national tv in a good light, normally when the town is reported on it's in a negative light, so this makes a pleasant change for once, long may it continue.FactualFrank wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 10:09 pmBurnley mentions on Twitter going crazy... many ignorant in that they think he's from Burnley as in born there, calling him a dingle and saying they'll no longer vote for him to win. Apologies DA if you've misunderstood my comments, we'll agree to move on in that case, I'm certainly not going to get into a pointless argument over something as trivial as BFC, as you rightly point out life's too short to argue on a footy messageboard, so let's just leave it there if that's alright with you.Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 10:29 pmWhat you going on about, ive already told you my comment had nowt to do with Jordan but was having a poke at those who take themselves far too serious.

Re: Jordan North in Welsh jungle
My mother researched the family tree (not my thing) and for over 200 years the family have lived in Burnley. 3 of the direct line weren’t born here, including me. All born elsewhere because of parents serving in the forces.
I believe that Jordan grew up in Harle Syke, top lad, hope he wins. Tonight was epic television.
