Owen 'hargreaves is more like it 'Burnley love to play a long ball!'
Re: Pulis on Burnley
Every team looks like they like to attack and score goals to Pulis. It’s all relative

Now Michael Owen. 'Popes an excellent goalkeeper but hes poor with his feet. Not that he gets to practice as Burnley just hoof it!'cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 6:28 pmOwen 'hargreaves is more like it 'Burnley love to play a long ball!'

Re: Pulis on Burnley
I guess we probably do look pretty scintillating compared to his Stoke outfit back in the day.

Re: Pulis on Burnley
He was being sarcastic. Sean has turned us into the most boring team in the league.

Can't believe Micheal Owen said Brighton and Burnley have similar budgets
Nobody in this League has a similar budget to us, maybe some League One teams..

Re: Pulis on Burnley
At the moment we really can't get sensitive about pundits criticising our style of play (not that anyone is). We've played this way for a while but have always looked like we've had a goal or two in us. We beat teams my 2+ goals a number of times last season. This season is a totally different kettle of fish.
Re: Pulis on Burnley
At present we're making Pulis's Stoke team look like Barcelona at their peak.

Re: Pulis on Burnley
Unfortunately typical of the modern pundit. They don't do any research, rely on the fact that they were big name players and turn up, in his case after a day with the horses, and spout crap. Really lazy. You're getting paid to do a job, do some background research at least. It's similar with comments on diving and penalties etc. They all just trot out the same "there was contact" because none of them want to seem like they are out of touch. They just follow the party line.
