Dyche......is it time to go

Post by ClaretMov » Sat Nov 07, 2020 1:15 pm

Genuine question, the football we are watching is crap, 3 goals so for this season, only one goal coming from a forward, next to no shots on target, long ball hoof it in the air football, has he had his day ???? Yes okay up to know he's worked miracles but that's in the past, currently we are fast becoming embarrassing to watch.

I personally think if the results don't turn quickly he should do the right thing and jump himself, the club won't sack him it's to expensive, I can see us not even having ten points at the start of the new year, the football style needs to change or unfortunately the manager does.

Prefer the chairman who has decided not to fund him in the transfer market to go first.

Can see why you are asking, but who could get more out of this group of players than SD. Plus who would take us on-and lets be fair with no money in the next window, and probably by then pressure to sell one or two players .I think this team give their all (largely) to this man

We have these spells every season. We need the ball to hit the back of the net early in a game for me, then I think our fortunes will change for the better , however I think Jay has to replace Barnes from the start.

Also if Dyche has been backed in the market I think a winger a right back and another centre mid would have made a huge difference . Unfortunately he didn’t get backed!

Lowton isn’t good enough anymore, the right back birth was one that needed strengthening this window as was the wing ahead of him and neither as we know got sorted

It’s not time for him to go, it’s time for us all to back him.

In all honesty, no one at all would come here and survive this season. It’s a poisoned chalice. Not even Pep or Klopp would be able to do an better than Dyche this season with this squad. I believe we’ll be fine, we just need keep the faith.

It is a shame we’re one player short at every home game though, the 12th man at Turf Moor is going to be missing for most of the season, and that is a big factor for us.

Fully agree about Jay replacing Barnes, there is something wrong with the team and I don't know if its Dyche, I hate myself for wanting Dyche to step aside and freshen things up but at the moment I think it's gone stail, I hope Dyche turns it around and proves me wrong, he's the best manager I've seen at Burnley in the 46+ year's I've been a claret.

We need Jay Rod back in he’s the best footballer we have. McNeil
also looks a better player alongside him. Agree with above criminal we didn’t strengthen the right back and right wing in the summer. Just hope we can get get a decent amount of points on the board by January and the takeover completes soon.

Dyche doesn't deserve to be sacked.

When he goes I just hope another club comes in for him and he goes on good terms. But it very rarely happens in football.

But if we get taken over and have money to spend I would prefer we moved in a different direction football wise.

No, but he won't do in a team set up to play hoof all. When he starts we have to approach the game differently.

That’s not how it works. How often do you read that players need game time to get up to speed? The last 20 minutes of matches does him no favours at all.
The spell that kept us up last season was after Barnes injury, when Jay came in. He should start. He is a better player than Ash in every regard except shithousery.

Has Barnes done anything to warrant a start in the last 5 games? Can't really judge Jay when he's thrown on for the last 20 minutes.

Dyche has been hamstrung by Garlick for the past umpteen transfer windows.

It’s time for Garlick to go, and the sooner this takeover gets done the better.

Burnley fan actually wanting Dyche to go, who is rated as a very good prem manager by most if not all other prem managers, he could actually be on the verge of being backed financially & playing on a level playing field. I fecking give up.....

It works both ways. I love dyche.

But I’ve heard plenty from good sources that Dyche didn’t want Wilson. Didn’t want Walcott. And has rejected lots of opportunities too look at foreign players Rigg has put forward.

What more can he do with this collection of fading ageing players? Who is going to get any more out of them?
The irony is if a new man was appointed, the first thing he would want is money for new players.

Mr Dyche has built this club, gave us slmost everything we could have dreamed of since his arrival.

He has done this, no one else, and most of the time he has had 1 hand tied behind his back.
Because of the constant miracles, the chairman has decided to see how he gets on with 2 hands tied behind his back.

If the finger needs pointing, it needs pointing at Garlick.

Nope Sean is the man no doubt , he wasn't backed in the window and has to make do with what we have .
He will turn the tide and even if we did slip out of the Prem he would be the only man to bring us back again .

True Brighton had 18 shots. But because we have zero pace or threat going forwards they can let the shackles off. Every team will think same. We are hardly going to catch them on the counter.

Dyche is way behind his sell by date with us. I’d like to see him punted before January transfer window so that the next man can actually bring in players under the age of 30.

Dyches record on transfers is poor and when Garlick brings in Vudra, Dyche takes the huff and doesn’t play him unless he has too.

Also the style of football has been boring and horrendous under Dyche.

How many times do we have to discuss whether we decide to get rid of the best manager we have had in 30 or 40 years?

If you can't back SD for what he has delivered with such limited funds then you need to go and support someone else.

Go on then ....... sack him! Who the feck do you think would:

1) Want the job as it stands
2) Would do any better than SD who knows the club inside out
3) Actually, the first 2 should do to be honest

I genuinely don't know what you want from SD. The team (almost) picks itself at the moment. Yes, replace Barnes with Jay or whatever but, the bottom line is we have about 15 players who are capable of playing at this level. There is only one place to look at for this and that is the strategy of the people above Dyche. Whatever their reason, we don't know, but it is their choosing we have such a depleted squad.

Even if the takeover goes through and Dyche gets some funds the better British players who he seems to insist on will still be out of our reach. Unless he's willing to take a bit of a risk on youth or the European market I don't really see where we go from here with the squad needing a huge overhaul?

If its time for Dyche to go it's because he's had enough of the club and we don't deserve him.
Rubbish, we pay Dyche a lot of money and have him a job when he was out of work and a young manager.

8 years he’s been with us and look at the state of our squad and style of play. Yes you can lay blame at the door of the board which is fair but Dyche himself has to shoulder a large portion of blame. He has been backed with a few decent sized signings unfortunately only Wood has ever proved to be worth the fee/wages. He doesn’t play Vydra aa he clearly
Wasn’t his signing. He is a large part of the problems we are currently experiencing.

Remember that lot down the road were almost guaranteed
top 10 then got the bright idea they were better than fat Sam!!

Ha ha, only Wood proved to be worth the fee. Just read that back again? Can I really be bothered to list the many, many players who have been absolute class for us without spending the millions and millions other clubs do? Nah, if you want to be so blind in saying stupid statements like that I don't think it's worth the time.

Absolutely clueless. Just really, really clueless.

Dyche wanted Stephens years ago

I think that signing is down to the manager
If Dyche wanted him years ago he would have got him! Load of rubbish!!
