Was a very good watch tonight on ch 4 surveillance on a drugs cartel. Part 2 tomorrow. 9pm. Well worth a viewing imo.

One of the best factual programmes on TV is 24 hours.

Usually filmed in Luton and a few years ago the program featured a delightful young lady who used to work for me. She was doing some part time care work and had stolen jewellery from an elderly couple.

Lets hope the op doesn't get banned for daring to post a non football post.

Re: 24 Hours in Custody.
Obviously not something they’d likely have shown on the programme, but I’d have liked to hear some of their back stories, particularly the northern bloke.
Re: 24 Hours in Custody.
Seen better episodes on the show tbh.

Re: 24 Hours in Custody.
Really amateur operation, his dashcam filming the drugs pick up tickled me,and the courier was that old he could hardly walk.

Re: 24 Hours in Custody.
I wouldn't say most of their work was amateur. Encrypted phones etc..and kept unnoticed for quite a while. The lowest ranked one who got sent down was working for 20k a week it said.
As soon as you become noticed by the police it showed how much resources they have to bring you down.

I don’t think they said he got £20k/week - that was the value on the operational profit for all of themQuickenthetempo wrote: ↑Tue Nov 10, 2020 9:14 pmI wouldn't say most of their work was amateur. Re: 24 Hours in Custody.
I jus thought whys is saying the sentances at the end when thers another part. Didnt kno both parts were on the same group at that point
Re: 24 Hours in Custody.
Very weird 2 parter and unlike what the movies have led ms to believe. I assume these types are career criminals, very violent individuals. The ring leader has never been arrested before and seem soft as anything. As did the old bloke from Hull. None of them lived the high life other than the main bloke going on holiday a lot he lived in a normal house.
It appears that they decided to give it a go later in life, probably planned to do it for a handful of years and get out loaded.
I wonder if there was another layer operating above them. The violent, cocky wide boy type the film depict

Re: 24 Hours in Custody.
analysing his bank account helped incriminate him; holidays, Dubai etc. At some stage tho, he would have had to put cash into the account to cover the outgoings? How did he get round that

Re: 24 Hours in Custody.
I wondered that. Maybe he was paying himself a handsome salary from the camper van company.Marney&Mee wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 9:36 amanalysing his bank account helped incriminate him; holidays, Dubai etc. At some stage tho, he would have had to put cash into the account to cover the outgoings? What is funny is that surely he could have laundered the cash through the camper van company in the form of a lot of hires. Although presumably he didn't actually have the camper vans to hire, and there is paperwork and DVLA checks etc. associated with hiring a vehicle. All in all, just not a very well thought out operation. Good TV though.

It'll be Rhubarb in the next episode, will it?

Re: 24 Hours in Custody.
I got the impression the guy from Hull, although knew what he was doing, was pretty much “just a courier” and possibly just got caught up in making some extra money

Unless the police didn't look back far enough to see some big wedges of cash being paid into his account ?Rileybobs wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 10:38 amI wondered that. Maybe he was paying himself a handsome salary from the camper van company.

Anyway, it's no skin off my rosy nose. We've found a new wholesaler and our county lines are back in place...

Re: 24 Hours in Custody.
I have both parts recorded, but decided to delete. Reading the thread it doesn't sound that great.

only remorseful for being caught and how their live were ruined. Not a single thought for the lives they ruined and ended, the misery they caused countless families through peddling their shite all for a fast buck!!!

Yep you’d think he would be driving around in a bright red Ferrari with the top down dressed in loads of flashy bling smoking a big cigar and laughing at the police walking by.Wellsy1882 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 12:50 pmIf he brought in 1.4 tonnes. Wheres his cash?

Or maybe they didn’t want to bring any attention to themselves ?
