Great news, but don't like these 5:30 KO times, we're not all in lockdown!

It's a start again and the campaigning has got us some breathing space at the least.
Big well done to all the supporter groups I was involved with on this one along with the FSA.

reasonable news for domestic supporters, all supporters being mucked about with the kick off times, no doubt means the Premier League will incur further rebates for overseas broadcasters and a reduced rights value for future cycles.

I know that's a pain but probably ensuring the games are spread out. We do seem to be getting more than our share of these games though.Marney&Mee wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 5:27 pmMonday at 5.30. Grrrr...yet another game I now can’t go to...

inevitable - the broadcasters do not really want to do it - they believe it devalues their offering, we draw the smallest audience so they out us in the graveyard slot that runs the least interference on their advertising revenues

Re: ARTICLE: Details for next two games with PPV scrapped
I should add, that is probable that this season could see us with an all time low number of picked games - what with all these games being shown anyhow

Currently paying for a ST I can’t use to watch matches...... then on top of that I can’t watch matches on telly because I’m still at work at 5:30.
Great result

At the end of the day, the alternatives were paying £14.95 (and even then they were using this day and time) or not having the option to see them at all which was a real concern. It's no a good time, but better than nothing.Nonayforever wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 5:41 pm5.30pm Monday evening - what on earth is that all about ?
Re: ARTICLE: Details for next two games with PPV scrapped
Will that be the third Saturday game this season? We've had amazingly few Saturday games this season.
Re: ARTICLE: Details for next two games with PPV scrapped
Monday 5.30 seems to be where they put the most unattractive game of the weekend.

Credit to you and the likes for the time and effort that you’ve put in whilst I like many just whinge but do nowt about it.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 5:19 pmIt's a start again and the campaigning has got us some breathing space at the least.

Honestly though the lack of the uptake of PPV and more so the subsequent unattractiveness to advertisers is surely the may reason for the U turn
Sorry, but that’s just how I see it

aren't Leicester in Europe on the Thursday before that so cannot play on Saturdaysimonclaret wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 6:56 pmDoesn't seem to be cut and dried - the week after it's Leicester v Fulham in that slot but surely West Brom v Sheff U (Sat 20:00) would be less attractive.

Re: ARTICLE: Details for next two games with PPV scrapped
The lack of uptake was hugely helped with all the national supporters groups putting forward to foodbank donation idea. The lads from Newcastle came up with that one so Haway the Lads.BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 6:36 pmCredit to you and the likes for the time and effort that you’ve put in whilst I like many just whinge but do nowt about it.

The whole campaign has been led by Kat from Spurs. She’s absolutely brilliant at getting things done.
Me, Burnley FC Supporters Groups, just pleased we could play an active part in this. The battle is not over by any means yet but today’s news is a success in getting rid of the appalling PPV.
