O/T Furniture repair/reupholster

Post by bmfc » Sat Nov 14, 2020 4:08 pm

Does anyone know, or recommend, a furniture repairer/reupholsterer?

I need my couch seat and back cushions, and covers, replacing.

Thanks.

Conlans, in Padiham have just re-purposed a couple of cabinets for us, really pleased with the work and price ... I know they also do the sort of work you're looking for. Husband and wife team and supporting a local business .... they have a Facebook page !

Earlier this year I had a chair recovered at Wrights Upholstery, Claremont Street, Burnley, BB12 0HG Tel 01282 425765. Basically a one man band and has been going for years. Keeps talking about retiring but i don't think he has done yet. Excellent job and a fair price.

I used and recommend Plumbs who make covers as opposed full upholstery:

https://www.plumbs.co.uk/

Salesman comes round, does a very comprehensive measuring, shows samples, gets made in a factory in Preston, then salesman visits to fit them.

Steve "Memphis" Holgate and Son. He's been at it for about 50 years, starting as an apprentice at Hesketh's. Former Pike Hill Bomber to boot.
