Alzheimers and The Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge
Yesterday, I signed up for a 26 mile trek over the Yorkshire Three Peaks for the Alzheimers Society charity, this charity is close to my heart after the profound effect it had on my Fathers late years.
With the current thread regarding BFC and Alzheimers also running on this messageboard, I have asked the administration team for permission to post this charitable event which will take place in June.
Here’s my JustGiving page, if you’d like to donate:

Good luck in your challenge depech
I remember being at the summit of Whernside on a clear day and you could see Blackpool Tower and Heysham power station.
Also at the summit you can stand in between 3 counties, Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria.
The trig point is actually in Cumbria.

Good luck!
I ran it last March and really enjoyed it. I think the normal route up ingleborough is closed for repair. Is there an alternative route?

Re: Alzheimers and The Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge
Finally for now, thanks to Claret Tony and the admin team for giving me permission to post this, it means so much to me especially having received donations directly due to this post.
I will probably give it a bump, every now and then probably monthly.
Kurt.

depechdingle....We are up at Settle most weekends during the season in our caravan, we see many who are camping and tackling the 3 peaks like yourself for charity, we have done them ourselves (1 at a time )
Speaking to many and seeing them after the challenge, 1 word of advise, Don't underestimate the Challenge, make sure you get yourself fit.
All the best.

Re: Alzheimers and The Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge
Happy to make this donation - I'll never forget watching my dad suffer against this terrible disease and only three days ago I was at a friend's funeral who had suffered with dementia.
Good on you Kurt and my very best wishes to you next year.

Would love every last one of you to sponsor me, even if only £1 or £2, it would make a massive difference and help to the Alzheimer's Society.
