Stephen Ward on commentary as well.
Re: Long and Brady
Don’t usually bother with international football but I fancied watching this one for some reason.
Robbie Brady looking lively for Ireland so far, playing left side of a midfield 3.

Re: Long and Brady
Brady has made
A few decent passes so far but seems to shy away from the ball far too often, he got going after about 20 minutes and has looked useful since then for the Irish, looking like he’s drifting in to the number 10 role ahead of Hendrick and Molumby.
When he gets into those spaces he can pick out a good ball, which kind of reminds me of the pass for Chris Wood against spurs at Wembley , Hope Robbie can find some form and fitness to benefit us

'...reminds me of the pass for Chris Wood against spurs at Wembley...' Nectar moment!
I just wish he'd take-on an opponent every now and again!

Re: Long and Brady
I'm watching this on S4C, listening to the commentary but not understanding much of it.
Ireland the better team so far and Brady is looking very decent- a few nice touches and passes and is pressing/closing down well with a couple of dispossessions. He swapped from left to right with Hendrick in the middle of the half for a spell but seemed to swap back to the left towards the end of the half.
Long is doing OK defensively. In possession he was lust knocking it sideways to Duffy at the start but looks to have got a bit more adventurous in the last 15 mins with a few little runs forward and longer passes.
Idah looks a bit lightweight up front for Ireland, not sure who the alternative "9" is.

Re: Long and Brady
Sometimes he looks very reluctant to go in for a challenge and/or perform and explosive burst of energy, but in the next breath he’s busting a gut to go and wipe somebody out it’s very confusing

Re: Long and Brady
He certainly had a better game than Hendrick did. I think he performed better than quite a few of his teammates in that game.

What form? About three games,a long time ago!boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sun Nov 15, 2020 7:39 pmI think that is harsh.
He would be such an asset to ROI and BFC if he could regain his old form...and avoid injury.

Re: Long and Brady
Just catching up on the highlights, a straight red for Hendrick capped a miserable day for ROI, 6 games without a goal now for them, as for Wales 7 clean sheets on the spin, and if your keeping the back door closed you've always got a chance, they'll be a dark horse at the Euro's next year.

Re: Long and Brady
Brady was beginning to show some real class a few games before he got injured the first time round. These days, I forget he’s in our squad.

Re: Long and Brady
Brady was the best player on the pitch at Leicester until he got injured

In that game, he was stretchered off 28 minutes in.
It certainly adds weight to those who think he hasnt had a good 90 minutes since being here...
Now all we need to do is find another 62 and theres a debate to be had

Re: Long and Brady
He was playing well, and arguably that 1st half was as good as we've looked all season, the moral of that story is don't bleeding well play Brady at Leicester the place is a jinx for him, that's twice he's been forced off crocked there.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 6:32 amBrady was the best player on the pitch at Leicester until he got injured
The pleasing aspect for us is he looked lively in his 82 minutes on the park, and he was one of the few genuine goal threats that the Irish had, now if he can produce that on a regular basis he could yet be a useful asset this term, and we badly need creativity from somewhere.
