And that my problem. I like to engage my brain when being entertained. **** television. I can’t entertain people who go into work during the week talking about that ****.

ITV are trying hard to beat Danny %$#@ing Dyers "The Waull" ...

Re: Worst TV shows of all time
The void has to be the most dire, tedious, recycled crappy idea with dull non entity presenters that has ever been given a prime time tv slot, it was on in the background whilst I was watching the lawn grow as a more entertaining evenings viewing, I could sense how crap it actually was as every now and then my wife would go oh no they have fallen into the void and then nod off at least put some piranha fish in the void to liven this dire sh1te up.

Re: Worst TV shows of all time
The apprentice: a programme to make other people look small and inadequate.
Re: Worst TV shows of all time
I've missed this thread. Glad to see it resurrected with some new shitt.
I've no idea what moneyball is, but I'm sure we've not hit rock bottom yet. Just as there are probably more comic book characters to make lame films out of, I am sure that there are more slot machine pier games to make pathetic large scale TV programmes out of.
Celebrity psychic bingo, maybe?
A big glass bottle full of celebrities where if you can name one good thing that they might have done for society, you get to pick one out with a crane and some metal prongs that drop them back in when at 40 feet?
A fixed horse racing game?

****** myself reading this spot onInchy wrote: ↑Tue Nov 17, 2020 8:31 amThis thread should have ended with Mrs Browns boys
It’s absolutely dreadful.
I once decided to watch one episode. I went in open minded but knew that it probably wasn’t for me because I’m not a brexit voting anti vaxer.
It started badly when a doctor came round to give the grandad a rectal thermometer. Predictably it got stuck. I can’t remember the rest of the show but I remember I had guessed the entire course of the episode in the first couple of minutes. The main punch like is it’s a bloke dressed as a women saying things an old women wouldn’t say. Breaking the third wall frequently happened. All that added was the increase rage I was feeling.
I assume O’Carroll hasn’t watched extras which predates Mrs Browns Boys and mocks the type of sh*te Mrs Browns boys serves up.
It’s the worst type of comedy. Although not overly offensive at face value it is extremely offensive to anyone who enjoys actually comedy. It’s a throwback to the 70s but not in a good way like listening to queen.
After watching the one and only episode I could managed I was so angry that someone made that. Even more baffling is that people lap it up. As a social experiment the show has at least shown what happens when you defund the education system. The millions of people who enjoy this show is one of the reasons I would be content by extra-terrestrials blowing up the planet
Re: Worst TV shows of all time
Some of the people on here having a go at Mrs browns boys is unbelievable. It’s brilliant.

Sorry but just to return to the very beginning of the thread- despite many worthy and new contenders, the worst show remains Strictly Come Dancing. Whoever came up with the idea of taking some almost celebrities, painting them orange and making idiots of them by teaming them with professional dancers suffering from a deadly virus is a sheer genius.

I made the mistake of tuning into Bradley Walsh’s new show Blankety-blank with little expectation but an open mind. Les Dawson it aint.

Re: Worst TV shows of all time
Most of the people watching this wouldn’t have given Come Dancing the time of day ( in fact it was on at a low peak time) but as it has minor attention seeking ‘celebs’ on its now of interest. Dreadful programme but as mentioned above this thread should have ended with Mrs Brown.SalisburyClaret wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 11:46 amSorry but just to return to the very beginning of the thread- despite many worthy and new contenders, the worst show remains Strictly Come Dancing. Re: Worst TV shows of all time
It definitely rings a bell from somewhere, I just can't recall from where.
The Likely Lads episode is a classic, and the punchline was really clever after all their guessing about what the headline could be,
Re: Worst TV shows of all time
I think you're right about "The Two Ronnies" I think it was on their "and now heres the news" bit, at the end of the show ...am sure I remember it too .

At the moment anything with the Hairy Bikers in is uttercshite, two prancing prima donnas waxing lyrical about a bl0ody egg oozing out over a perfectly well cooked kipper can only be rehashed for so long before you realise they cannot cook and if they could why the F does it need two overweight lumps of lard showing the nation how to make soup one puts the carrots in the other one puts the potatoes in etc The geordie one when they do taste something cooked by a proper cook often says ooowwww what a delicious plate of loveliness, what's that all about and the other one puckers his lips and will utter some sh1te about oh yes I can taste all the flavours coming through that's amazing whilst the fat geordie looks on as though his mate has cracked the key to cold nuclear fusion.

I suppose its all subjective and down to personal taste, but Eldorado has to be up there with brass wasted, longevity and utter utter sh!tness.
Who in their right minds would have Danish, Dutch , German etc speaking actors in a program which doesn't then provide subtitles

Seems to be a given now that if you are a football presenter you are automatically given a crap game show to host like Alex Scott, Gary Lineker and Ian Wright.

Especially if you're a popular and successful football presenter or pundit as these three are, like it or not.

I’ve just switched on the TV and it was on, asking the question “In which body of water is the Bermuda Triangle”
The answer she gave was “Loch Ness”

Mountain Monsters
Though to be fair the episode where it looked like they had finally captured a chupacabra in a homemade trap until Bigfoot showed up and broke it free was pretty funny.

Anything with Ant and Deck in it, including , in fact especially, that embarrassing Santander advert.

Remember that no matter how bad James Corden is, or ant and dec are, just remember. Please remember. Nothing is as utter **** as Mrs browns boys
Re: Worst TV shows of all time
Do people still watch live TV these days?
I record all except live football, news or weather, then watch when it suits me. This allows me to fast forward through something I thought might be interesting to see if it ever does get interesting - not to mention the adverts (which of course can be more entertaining than the programme).

Re: Worst TV shows of all time
Hardly use ITV player (All4, My5 etc) to watch programmes as you can't FF through the ads ... so tend to record ITV etc stuff but use BBC iPlayer for BBC stuff.Hipper wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 10:49 amDo people still watch live TV these days?

I think what you meant to say is that you’d rather switch the TV off and go for a nice walk or read a book than watch reality tv shite or the abomination that is Mrs Browns Boys
We’ll put it down to predictive text !!

Re: Worst TV shows of all time
I must be missing something here because my TV has a remote control with an "off" button and other buttons that change channels
