Tablet help please, please.

My Samsung Tab A has just decided that it doesn't want to recognise my "sign-in" pattern ie the joining of the dots.

The same happened about one month ago and I managed to reboot it and start from scratch again.
Have to admit that I don't know how I did it.

This time it won't let me restart it or turn it off without signing in (with the dots)

Every time I fail to restart or reboot the bloody thing I have to wait 30 seconds to start again.

I'm currently running the battery down in the vain hope that it will help.

Any help out there please ?

Try 1-7, 7-3, 3-2. Based on your posts that would be the kind of pattern I think you would choose

You might need to google 'Hard Reset', drastic but might be the way to go...

YouTube is your friend !! Partial hard set procedure, press volume down button and, hey presto it
once again recognises my log on pattern and the tablet is just as it was.
