It's hard not to feel some sympathy for these two, because it's not like they choose to keep getting injured. They've both been very unfortunate, but in the case of Brady, it's probably time to seriously consider a career change. He, or his body, doesn't seem to be capable of being a professional footballer, which is rotten luck for him, but he isn't the first player to have to retire early due to repetitive injuries.

I also agree that there is little sympathy (almost blame) shown to Brady and JBG yet sympathy is shown to the likes of Danny Ings. Interesting since start of 2015-2016 season stats show JBG 140 apps (100 PL), Brady 126 (103PL) and Ings 81 apps (81 PL).

Ings is good though

Ings is a terrific player, but the comments are more about injuries and availability.

Ings no longer our player therefore less of a "problem" for us when he is injured, however when he does play I bet he makes more contributions than the 2 others mentioned put together.
Not that Ings contributions are rellivent to us, however I want our players playing and contributing as much as possible

The last 3 full seasons:
Brady 48 PL out of 114 42%
JBG 76 PL out of 114 67%
Many of these will have been either appearances from the bench or games where the player was substituted, Brady in his time with us 48% of his PL appearances have been from the bench, JBG 30% from the bench.

Such a shame for Brady as he was in such great form when he had that terrible injury at Leicester. He's not been the same player since unfortunately. Hopefully a takeover will facilitate a replacement in January

Cool stat.
Could you also post how many goals scored and assisted by the same players in the same period too?

Brady actually looks ill looks to have lost a lot of weight....
I have the same thoughts about Brady, he looked quite ill last night and does appear to have lost weight which he hadn't to lose really.
He needs our support not criticising all the time.

You can see it in his face, the weight has dropped off him like you said he hadn't a lot of weight to lose in the first place, maybe something is going on no one knows about maybe we should all as supporters of the club he plays for cut him a bit of slack.

It doesn't say much for our medical team if players are taking the field looking "Quite ill" and surely a player's weight would be checked regularly by those at the club responsible for a player's fitness and well being? If Brady was indeed suffering ill health I am sure his team mates would have alerted somebody at the football club. You would like to think that was the case anyway.

It's not lack of sympathy or blame, more frustration, and anger that the club has done nothing to address this foreseeable situation. Even if both are available for the City game, we all know that within 2 games at best they will be injured again

I don't know about assists, but since 15/16 Ings has 39 goals in 81 games, and it's not just his goals it's his all round contribution to Southampton.
Also he played in every PL game for the Saints last season, when was the last time anyone could say that about Brady or JBG.
Sadly both are picking up niggling injuries far too often now, and I'm afraid well both have had their moments in a Clarets shirt it's time to say goodbye at the end of the season, we desperately need a right winger with pace, and the ability to beat a man and create something, now Dwight is out of form we're solely lacking a creative source to supply our strikers no matter who plays up front.

He needs our support
,Iam sure his 35k a week cushions the blow for his net contribution of jack $hit for the past 2 seasons
