Really pleased with this result. We all know how successful the Middlesbrough academy has been over the years and they are having a very good season again at U18 level.
The only bad news, personally for me, is that I'm not able to go and watch these games just now.

Btw, is there any news on the U17's in the Clarets cup final?

Heartwarming to see us with a competitive Youth System again.

A cracking result and great to see a clean sheet because we have conceded a lot this season.
I am with you CT ---I really miss being able to watch the Youth team!

Re: ARTICLE: Draw for youths against Middlesbrough
Not being able to see any games means we haven't been able to establish how big a step up we have taken but I think the u18s have done well overall. Having said that, I thought today would have been a very difficult game for us against a really good academy. So pleased with this result.Ashingtonclaret46 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 2:51 pmA cracking result and great to see a clean sheet because we have conceded a lot this season.

I still shudder at that 2015/16 season at u18 level. That long run of defeats to end the season, going out of the youth cup against the met police. We’ve still a long way to go but we are finally competitive again.Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 2:47 pmHeartwarming to see us with a competitive Youth System again.

That Met Police one was a bugger.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 8:07 pmI still shudder at that 2015/16 season at u18 level. That long run of defeats to end the season, going out of the youth cup against the met police. We’ve still a long way to go but we are finally competitive again.
At a time when the pre 'Blake' debacle, things had been looking better at that that level than for years.
I still can't get my head around why he was allowed to continue wrecking the infrastructure for so long after Eddie had left.

Re: ARTICLE: Draw for youths against Middlesbrough
Their goalkeeper was the man of the match and our goalkeeper had a poor game. But even so it was embarrassing. The one good thing to maybe come out of that was the realisation of the damage that had been done by Blake & his cronies.Longsidelenny1882 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 22, 2020 11:39 amWhat iremeber about the met police game there goalkeeper had a very good game sounds like we are getting better and not before time at that level long may it continue utc
