MOM rightly given to Rodriguez. Great save by Pope though.

Wasn't pretty but a vital 3 points, and we're now up to 4th bottom, well done Pope he saved us at the end.

Also a mention for Mee & Tarks 2 games together and 2 clean sheets, this shows how important their partnership is to us.

So you completely forgot to mention the easy chance for JBG & the great save from Wood's header.

Oh well.

Palace are a good side, with or without Zaha. Started the season well. Huge pressure on is to win that tonight and we did. 1st half great for half an hour. Second half poor, well the midfield were poor. Defended well, got the win. We were never gonna steamroller over them tonight.

I don’t even care how bad we were, we just need as many points on the board and pray we’ve got rid of Garlick before January.

Grezza was great as co-commentator. I think I'd have switched off but for his contribution.

Seven points behind Manchester City after eight games.

That statistic before the start of the season, who would have said no?

Three welcome points

But what is happening with our midfield

Westwood and Brownhill couldn't get anywhere near their guys in the second half and if only we had some decent wide men

Could be. Pope down but not out. Brave goalkeeping, great save. Strong left arm diving forwards, no head protection. Schmichealesque.
I nearly said Schmichealesque but to be honest can’t remember Schmicheal ever making a save that good. It was Popesque.

Exactly all about the result tonight it was never gonna be pretty against Palace it never is, but it's 3 points on the board, doesn't matter how the points come as long as they come, and yes we do need a decision on the takeover soon the uncertainty isn't doing us any favours.

Of course there is, you think the complete lack of investment is fine and are happy to see Dyche left with a threadbare squad.

Good grief I am 10 years older than I was at 5.30. It’s far worse watching it on TV and nobody to grumble at on the way out.

All about the result as it ALWAYS is and ALWAYS will be whilst we're in the PL. We're never going to be pretty to watch and the day we are is the day we'll concede 5 or 6 to even an average PL side. We were gritty, determined, all pulling together and deserved our bits of luck here and there. One swallow and all that, but it's very true that teams who are struggling often need one result and everything changes. Couldn't watch after about 60 minutes as I was crapping myself every time Palace had the ball, especially as our current midfield isn't very good at winning second balls and we surrender a lot of possession that way. If you play the game like we do, you have to be picking those up imo. Chuffed to bits!

Even worse at home in 2015 where we threw away a two goal lead to lose 2-3.
