But then you look at the fixture list.

Delighted we won , relief we got over the line, more hopeful we can survive .
A typical Burnley performance which augers well if past seasons are anything to go by

Delighted, in a word.

Tough run of games coming up, make no mistake we needed to win tonight.

Positive.

Poor second half/60 minutes. But in some ways that was better than playing them off the park. We showed we can get a win under the cosh and will always have a chance wether we play poorly or not.

Relief isn't the right word. If so, then preceded by immense.
Shall certainly sleep much better tonight.

But the stress of the last 15 mins or so was almost unbearable.

If we're still out of the bottom three by the end of the year
we'll be doing well.

Well done lads.

Relief more than anything, another clean sheet, that's 2 back to back, and 3 in 5 games now, that's much more Burnley like, that save by Pope could prove pivotal, just as his penalty stop from Vardy was last season.

Hopeful. Popes Burnley career took off with a one on one save against Palace when he came on as a sub when Heaton got injured, our seasons seems to turn on great goalkeeping moments. Onwards.

To be honest. Pleased. Nothing more as I knew we'd pull it together. Speaking to my Spurs mate who's been giving me a gentle ribbing and he knows we're nowhere near bad enough to be near the bottom 10, let alone 3.

Needed that but how many times now over the last 8 years have we done the same when required. That’s the great thing about being a Claret you know this lot will dig in, scrap for everything and get the win. Sheff Utd blew it, we didn’t and it could make all the difference. We usually go on a good run of results in these situations so City better watch out.

Very relaxed. Even throughout the game.

It's amazing what a team sheet can do to you.

We ain't got a bad team, problem is we only have ONE team... and that teams name is Ben Mee.

Have to admire your undying optimism but you need to take off the claret and blue specs sometimes
Yes we all saw the JBG chance and the Wood header
Did you see the Pope saves and the other chances that Palace had

They had more possession - 54% to 46%
They had more shots - 15 to 10
They had more on target - 5 to 4
They had more corners - 7 to 4

We were at home and, apart from the first 30 mins, were pretty much under the cosh

Taking a realistic view, we were very fortunate to get all 3 points tonight

And I am very happy

Relieved.
2nd from top in our 'mini league' of 5 teams at the bottom. Still a long way to go, and three clean sheets in five games is a good building block to work from.
Need to keep picking up the odd point or three here and there. I'll take 17th now at Christmas if it was offered to me.

great to get the points, and some good performances. It is a monkey off our back, and I do think palace are a very good team. One of the teams i enjoy watching. so to beat them is very creditable.

We weren’t very fortunate to get the three points. It was a relatively even match in which we created three of the four clearest goal scoring opportunities. We took the lead early so were in the driving seat. It’s always likely that the other team will have more of the game as the clock ticks down in that situation.

As for how I’m feeling, I was a bag of nerves watching it to be honest. More so than for a long time. Very relieved to get that first win under our belt.
