As Bosscat had his entry first I’m allowing RalphCoatesComb to reconsidered his Carrot Slices estimate.
Apologies. I'll go with 87 slices

Thank You everybody for your Estimates for the Etihad so far.

We’ve a couple of entries that have guessed at the same value

Carrot Slices

Bosscat - 85
RalphCoatesComb - 85

Water

Bosscat - 150ml
fatboy47 - 150ml
ChuckyPad - 150ml

I’ve looked into the archives of this event and on Sunday 22nd November the same problem occurred. As Bosscat had his entry first I’m allowing RalphCoatesComb to reconsidered his Carrot Slices estimate and also fatboy47 to reconsidered his Water estimate. If your happy with your estimates I must stress any winning points will be shared equally. Bosscat if you want to go ahead and reconsidered that’s also available. Bare in mind there are a few estimates that are close by in your estimates.

Edit: ChuckyPad also with the estimate of 150ml of Water.
I stand by my estimates 🙂

As the Admiral pointed(sic) out in his first count the possibility of sharing points is covered in the esteemed rulebook(hard back edition). Therefore I will stick, the thought of changing and 80ml coming up could drive me to drink.

Morning, Counters! :)

I see the old 'identical estimates' phenomenon has recurred. This however need not be a problem.

We cannot expect each successive Estimator to check through the whole thread for any similar values already posted, but neither should we rely on the Count Officiator to point out each and every occurrence. After all, he or she is under enough pressure as it is. Yet the Officiator may, if nonetheless so minded, provide such extra guidance as a helpful gesture to his Estimators.

As Huw has illustrated from our previous Count, the points can simply be shared.

Well done so far to Dyched. It's going swimmingly, as indeed is life inside the Tin for those unsuspecting carrot slices soon to be outed and Counted. :D

Morning admiral. All under control here. We’re 1 hour and 24 minutes from drainage. I’ve heard rumblings that Pep has caught wind of our Tinned Food Count.

Thank You all for your estimates so far.

Under an hour to go now until the winner(s) is announced. Drainage has finished, carrot slices counted and water measured.

Our last week pieces winner is yet to enter so could there be a new leader at the top?

Thanks again everyone.

Round 2 is now finished, Thank You for all entries.

We had 40 entires in this round and so without further ado the winners of Round 2 are as follows:

Carrot Slices
There were 57 carrot slices within the tin. As nobody estimated the correct amount I declare gawthorpe_view as the winner with a very respectable estimate of 56.

gawthorpe_view 56
Zlatan 54
Zooniverser 63

Water
The winner in estimating the Water content goes to Aclaret who estimated the exact correct amount. The winning amount was 127ml.

Aclaret 127
Clansman 125
Longsider 133

Congratulations our 2 winners for this weeks Tinned Food Count.

Big Thanks for all involved and to Redbeard in trusting me in ensuring things ran as smoothly as possible. Even if he did take a bit of persuading here and there!

League Table

BurnleyLad 5
Gawthorpe_view 5
Aclaret 4
Zlatan 3

Now time to cheer on the boys.

Revised Leader Board, before kick-off

Burnleylad - 5
Gawthorpe_view - 5
AClaret - 4
Zlatan - 3.
Just changed it myself after seeing your post above. Now it’s time for me to let somebody else take up the Tinned Food Count. All being well another round will run next week.

Indeed, Dyched, very well done overall.

Not as easy as it looks, this officiating, is it? ;)
