That was brutal from Buttler & Malan, England made chasing nearly 200 look easy, the only slightly worrying signs were the bowlers going for a few, and Roy failing again, but they're minor criticisms, and on this form England will be the team to beat next year in India, probably only the Aussies could live with them, and those 2 teams look a long way ahead of the rest.
Outstanding from Malan & Buttler

Wash your mouth out ANTHONY.... that was Waterfoot's Jos Buttler, not Cymbals Bairstow from Yorkshire.

I sat there and watched every single ball in the game and then posted that which I have now duly corrected. That’s about the worst mistake I could have made.

On the subject of mistakes - it’s Tony and not Anthony.

Without checking dates I reckon it must be around 5 years ago now since we won away 2-1 at Yeovil.
The supporters club were running a weekend trip for the game, on the Friday night we stayed at the Holiday Inn at Taunton. Turned out that was also the hotel for the Burnley team and we had a good chat with the players that evening.

Saturday morning we had a couple of hours to kill in Taunton before the coach left for Yeovil. I was with my nephew and we decided to take a look at the cricket ground. Although it wasn't during the cricket season the club shop was open and we went in.

There were 2 young men working in the shop and when they saw our claret and blue colours they came over to talk to us, they were curious why football fans would be in club shop.
When we explained one of them said.....Burnley, Lancashire, we aren't very happy at the moment with Lancashire. They have just persuaded our most promising young player to leave Somerset and sign for them. This young lad then went on to tell us all about Jos Buttler and how he would go on to become a very big player for England especially in limited over cricket.

How prophetic this has turned out to be.
Anyway they quickly forgave us for being Lancastrians and one of them took us on a tour of the ground which was very good of him.
He also told us that he thought Buttler was originally from Rossendale, think he said Waterfoot! 😁

Great story Targetman, and pleased you can corroborate the fact that Jos was from Rossendale.

Goes to show what a Roses combination can produce with on the one hand the class, finesse, touch and array of shots from the Yorkshireman and the sheer brutal slogging strength of the Lancastrian, a potent mixture.

Looky here...... what have we got..... mr "T20 is Mickey Mouse Cricket" chipping in..... for the 2nd time this week.

I'm sure he'll stay a fan until the associated cockney imports playing for Yorkshire get knocked out in the group stages again, then it will be back to mickey mouse stuff.

I'm sure Dande is right, a mate of a mates mate who has a box at Lancs CC said he saw Jos Buttler buying some Black Puddings in a Waterfoot butchers.
