Re: Match Day Thread - Man City v Burnley
Just garbage how we fold against City, time after time after time. It's amazing how other teams at least manage to make things somewhat difficult for them. We're on for our fourth straight 5-0 at the Etihad (if we're lucky)
For a team with a supposedly "strong jaw", it's pretty pathetic.

Given that goal difference can be crucial when you're at the bottom this is suicidal.

If Tarks is after a move away, he’s not exactly advertising him self well.

Ive not seen most of the game but have any of our lads actually put in any kind of hard - but fair - challenge on any of the City players.
It's games like this where we do have to chase them down and rough them up. A minimum of five bookings required.

Yet another assist for Tarks , 3 passes to them 3 goals
Re: Match Day Thread - Man City v Burnley
Do we now have the worst goal difference in the league?

Admittedly I'm only listening on the radio, but it sounds utterly disgraceful. Yes, it's Man. City, but we play top teams pretty often. There's something about us when we play this team.
Inferiority complex doesn't come close to describing it.

It's games like today when you realise the value of defensive wingers like Boyd and Arfield.
Only chance you have in these games is to hold on and the team put out today relied instead on two strikers to do the same job.

Re: Match Day Thread - Man City v Burnley
Was hoping to see a little more in terms of shot stopping from TPF. Not expecting him to lead us to a clean sheet but when you're going to face as many shots as City will offer I'd hope to see more than one save.

Re: Match Day Thread - Man City v Burnley
We are seen as a defensive, hoofball side but the lower end teams who take points from Citeh defend with more numbers than us but somehow manage to sneak out and score. We haven’t got the pace to do this and playing that way doesn’t help our front two, no support.

It’s a game where the minimum requirement was maximum effort.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 4:30 pmIve not seen most of the game but have any of our lads actually put in any kind of hard - but fair - challenge on any of the City players.

Unfortunately some lost translation it became the maximum requirement is minimum effort.

Perhaps we need a 9-0 Southampton type defeat to bring us round.

Lowton pulled to the floor and no freekick.
They counter and Lowton scores an own goal. Disallowed.
Terrible refereeing. Should have been a freekick to us.

BPF saves well from Jesus then it trickles I’m off his knee
Blushes saved. Ruled offside

6-0 BPF OG after a great initial save.
Probably the worst we’ve ever played in the Premier League this, regardless of the opposition. We’ve not even looked bothered.

That was unlucky for BPF

Against the run of play, we were just starting to get on top. Justice done as VAR saves a second blunder from our keeper

Just because we're terrible it doesn't mean to say that Mason has improved.
He's consistently poor irrespective of the scoreline

Charlie Taylor has been crap this afternoon. Easily done by Marez for the second and AWOL for two, if not three of the others.
