I know how much better city are than us and I get we will get a pasting now and again but it feels as though we get one every single time we play them. The last 3 games at city have ended 5-0 and even when city were **** many years ago they used to trounce us. I hate playing them.

Listening to Tim Sherwood on SSN bleating on about Burnley's "schoolboy errors" is probably more painful than watching it.

If you had any sense at all you wouldn't have switched it on at all

Of the 18 (and counting) goals we've conceded against them in the last games, how many are copy paste of us passing the ball in their feet and picking it out of our net 20 seconds later? They must love playing against us...

Didn't get to see the game but sounds like the team switched off too, feels like we are beat 5-0 before we even kick off at city

I think it is a must watch, after that everything will look better, all about perspectives.

I gave it to 2-0, switched the Xbox on, and left it running on the laptop. Should’ve not bothered with the laptop...

Were a Championship team in the making. It will be more enjoyable. What has the Premiership riches brought to us other than a great training facility, which is really something?

To be fair we have rattled a few cages and those occadions were supreme. Cant see many repeats of those occasions though.

When you look at the formation and where the players are positioned against one of the best sides in the league you know it’s going to be a bad day.

Went out after the first half makes you angry when you see your team shambolically set up like that.

I like Barnes but why is he up front after being dropped last game when we’ve just beaten Palace after Jay rod assists and is pushed out onto wing, doesn’t make any sense whatsoever.

It is all about perspectives Kate. Today Liverpool got a point away to Brighton. So did we so let’s take our season dose of medicine from City and get on with it.
We’re not great but we are better than Fulham , West Brom and Sheffield Utd this season. I’m also thinking the majority of our games have been against teams at the top.

I've just got up George Boyd's winner against them at The Turf on You tube and suddenly things look slightly better. Try it!

No different than previous visits. By all means switch off but not sure why we needed to know how fickle your support is.

I wish I hadn’t watched it. Although 2nd half was much better. First goal (and 6th) was awful! I totally understand the quality of Man City versus our squad but maybe we should have parked the bus

I say Championship.team in the making because of lack of investment and the team.is clearly not as good this season due to that. Most if not all have invested for this season. Think Barnsley might not make it BUT ---- Stanley might!!!

Really embarrassing... sorry. Why did we start tackling people after about 85 mins when we hadn't done it all game??? I know they are better than us but why do we drop off & let em do what they want??? Ridiculous.

Games like this are write offs before we start but to be done 5-0 on our last four visits suggests that the coaching staff haven’t learnt a great deal from any of those games.

I think you'll find that what it means is that our coaching staff and their coaching staff have learned at the same rate. It really isn't reasonable to expect our coaching staff to learn loads while other teams learn nothing.

At the moment, we are giving off serious Sunderland vibes when they were hanging on by a thread in the Prem.

Josh Benson played well as did Jay but even Ben looked poor
But I dont get our not using all our subs if only to give them a game.
Next week we need Bardo back and Jay and Vids up front play to feet
Everton are good in the air defence wise but weaker on the ground

Even though the result was carved in stone before we started, we started (and finished) the game very poorly and the 5-0 beating was already on the cards after 7 mins.

You take the good with the bad as it will balance it all out over a season .

I couldn’t agree more. Once it was obvious we were on a hiding, I enjoyed following Benson’s contribution and I thought he did really well. Part of the enjoyment for me is watching how individuals perform in the team

So many of us have been hoping Dyche throws these young players in and judging from the Benson thread you are not on your own Zlatan
