it might not be a classic but I'm sure enjoying this continuation of the last few days and watching them perform songs I have never heard and in a different way, but one I am enjoying so much

Re: Classic albums revisited
I've been listening to Big Country tonight in memory of Stuart Adamson.
Got every Album, apart from the last one, not really got a favourite, but if I had a gun at my head I'd probably say the "Steeltown" Album.

Re: Classic albums revisited
I was quite a fan of Japan, still Got 3 of there studio Albums and the "Assemblage" album.
I have listened to some Mick Karn solo stuff but strangely not really took time out to listen to any David Sylvian.
I'll have a bash over the weekend.

Love Paul Rodgers vocals. Bad Company or Free. StraightShooter the album I’d put on most often.

No....keep it...its brilliant!huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 12:27 pmOne of Mrs Huw’s faves but her box has a B&W cover. Do I need to get it on the Antiques Roadshow?
Re: Classic albums revisited
All Things Must Pass has two good records on it and one that is a waste of space - the jam.
The CD box, which Steve1956 pictured, has the colour photos. It may well be worth getting because there are some additional tracks although only one is a new song: I Live for You:

Re: Classic albums revisited
2 good records or two good songs Hipper? This album walks all over a lot of McCartney's stuff.
Re: Classic albums revisited
Records! I like many of the songs on this album. I don't have any McCartney material and only bought one Lennon album (Imagine) but don't like that anymore. I also got 'Living in the Material World' at the time although I don't seem to have that now.
Re: Classic albums revisited
This is the best live album imho

In reasonable condition, box and vinyls you would pay at least 85 Quid in a record shop for a later pressing with the black and white box.
Earlier pressings name your price.
Lot of the black and white boxes quite often are prone to"foxing".
My advice keep it and look after it as it will definitely increase in value.

And another while I'm here.
Kate & Anna McGarrigle - their first album. Not a top selling album but perhaps a cult classic well thought of at the time.

Where's the track?

In 1978 a work colleague said the best two albums were Free - Fire & Water, and Who's Next. These bands were not my cup of tea as I'd only really heard them from there hits and never looked any further. Nevertheless I listened to them both to find out what he was on about and agreed that they were, and still are, top notch. Mind you he never convinced me about his other pet musician, Dylan!

Brian Eno's 'Another Green World' is worth a listen. How about Chris Squire's 'Fish out of Water'?

Re: Classic albums revisited
Just read Phil Collins autobiography..so over the last few days I've trawled through Genesis's back catalogue and what a fine catalogue it is with two stand out albums
A trick of the tail &
Selling England by the pound
They dont make music like this anymore,
Footnote.
Collins was a pretty talented guy but also a bit of a knob.
