Re: Burnley v Everton - Match Day Thread
Barnes is a busted flush IMO - needs to stop looking for the free kicks and start playing football again

McNeil just took the worst shot in the history of the game.

Probably a fair result. Either team could’ve won it.

Iwobi can’t cross for toffee
Re: Burnley v Everton - Match Day Thread
Given the lack of a meaningful presence in CM a draw is just acceptable
Re: Burnley v Everton - Match Day Thread
McNeil effort at the end there just sums it up at the moment: we’re performing at an ok level, winning the ball, creating the odd opportunity - but in the end it gets let down by individual errors.

Created good chances today which is a positive
Re: Burnley v Everton - Match Day Thread
I thought the ref had a good game tbf. Let things flow instead of blowing up for every little thing that seems the norm these days.
Re: Burnley v Everton - Match Day Thread
feels like 2 points dropped - they were there for the taking.
For the record, I've seen the Westwood incident again that led to their goal. It would've been soft, but I still maintain that it should've been a freekick to us (top six team get them ALL THE TIME). That said, Westwood did go down too easily and had he stayed strong, they wouldn't have scored.

Re: Burnley v Everton - Match Day Thread
Benson came on and showed why he is in the squad.
Brady had a good game (not just the goal) and if he can stay fit the signs are getting better.
As Zlatan says if the Westy incident had been given it would have been soft ... but we have seen them given with VAR before ah well

I thought McNeil and Wood were very poor today.

We looked good, Everton been a fine team this season.
We could have nicked it yet it could easily have gone the other way.

I think Dale Stephens might be below benson in pecking order, from the little I’ve seen he looks a player

Even game overall. We need to be more clinical. Against a better team we'd easily have lost today.

Re: Burnley v Everton - Match Day Thread
Worked hard for the point and it would have been a travesty not to have picked something up.
However, we have just seen a referee who, according to UEFA, is our number 1 ---really! Some bad decisions for both sides, however, one or two which he failed to give in our favour were ridiculous. Add to that the fact that he allowed Gomes to referee parts of the game ---number 1 ---I have seen nothing for quite some time to convince me of that fact.

I think on today's showing we'll have just enough grit and determination to stop up - injuries permitting.
