Add Robbie Blake and Glen Little to that listCheshireclaret wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 11:23 pmI really like the lad and I was at St Mary’s last season when he scored THAT goal but I think he’s one of those players that’s almost too good for The Championship but not good enough for The Premier League.
That list includes players we’ve had down the years such as David Nugent and Chris Eagles and there are no doubt countless others. Che Adams is potentially looking like another at Southampton.

The fact that Wood was clearly knackered and Brady half fit and cramping up means Vydras pace was even more of a weapon to at least try

I’m not disagreeing that Vydra was an option, but the game was on a knife edge and Dyche clearly thought that Barnes and Wood presented our best chance of maximising the points gained from the game. It’s ok if you disagree, I just trust Dyche’s judgement more than yours.BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 11:36 amThe fact that Wood was clearly knackered and Brady half fit and cramping up means Vydras pace was even more of a weapon to at least try

As you should, but as a Burnley fan, not a Premier league Manager, I think that he’s losing his way in the rigidity of his own framework and not using the tools at his disposal, it’s starting to come across as personal stubbornness and leading to questioning of his ability to progress further.Rileybobs wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 11:43 amI’m not disagreeing that Vydra was an option, but the game was on a knife edge and Dyche clearly thought that Barnes and Wood presented our best chance of maximising the points gained from the game. He seems to be the spokesman of Sean Dyche .com rather than Burnley FC manager.
He, I believe, that he believes he’s outgrown Burnley FC but it’s starting to Manifest into, the Premier League leaving him behind.

Re: Vydra
I'd be curious if there was a deal involving Matej to be done with Slavia Prague for Sima, the young lad they have up front at the moment. He shows every chance of being one of the next big strikers
For anyone curious, he will likely play for Slavia on Thursday against Leverkusen
