I'd been watching Burnley for seven years when we signed Frank and he was the first player we'd signed in that time. What a player he was and before being kicked out of the game in 1973/74 I was convinced he was destined to play for England.

Outstanding player for us.

Sadly I wasn't around to see Frank play live, but I've heard plenty about his exploits, such a shame that his career was prematurely ended by that Leeds thug.

Really nice to me when I was doing a college project many years ago while he was manager. Gave me loads of his time and made me feel really welcome.

I was around to see Frank play Tiger and I can tell you he was indeed a great player,
I was also at Bellend Road when Hunter cruelly and viciously cut him down.
