Trippier to Manchester United
Sky Sports reporting United are hoping to sign Kieran Trippier. Do you think that would be a good move for him?

Re: Trippier to Manchester United
Already have Wan-Bissaka who they paid about a £billion for and Tripps is ex-city but probably be keen.
Re: Trippier to Manchester United
I hope not. I like to see Trippier do well, but I’d find it impossible to cheer him on if he moved to Old Trafford!

Re: Trippier to Manchester United
He spent a lot of time trying to win a place at Spurs ahead of Kyle Walker, he'd be back in the same position behind Wan-Bassaka if he did move. Only 18 months left on his contract so likely to move in January or next summer.

Why would he be behind Wan-Bissaka?
More experienced, both international competition and PL level.

Did i read somewhere that he would only come back to the UK to play for us or was it he would like to play for a Dyche team again?

Re: Trippier to Manchester United
I think if Trippier moved at this stage in his career, he'd want guarantees of a starting berth, and IMO it's unlikely at United. Suppose the question is why would United want KT? Its just typical of the way the club have been operating in recent years. Just chucking money at the problem without any logic in my view.

You can't say that - their game in hand is against Burnley.
I've no doubt that Sean Dyche could do well at a big club.

Mourinho gets the boot because of his boring style yet has a track record of winning silverware so where and how does dyche come into that equation.Paul Waine wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 4:10 pmYou can't say that - their game in hand is against Burnley.

Re: Trippier to Manchester United
Dyche has proven he can get a team playing better football when he has better players at his disposal.
Dyche has also shown he can get consistency from his teams.
I also suspect he wouldn't put up with the likes of Raiola and his regular efforts to destabilise the likes of Pogba.
Ole only got the job because he's a former player of the club, fans fav and he was cheap.
I also suspect he's a bit of a yes man, something Dyche isn't.

Re: Trippier to Manchester United
Wan-Bissaka has done nothing going forward for ManU and they concede too many. Tripps would be a major improvement attacking and not much behind defensively. He’s still to good for us and they would bring him back to the NW. I can see this happening.
Re: Trippier to Manchester United
We played a handful of games under dyche where it has been attractive if I'm right them players were capable and that football became non existent.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 5:09 pmDyche has proven he can get a team playing better football when he has better players at his disposal.

As for consistency this and last season has been far from consistent.
Pogba and raiola? Dyche cant handle tarkowski and his agent, Gibson, vydra and the list goes on.
Ain't no way dyche is walking into the biggest club in the world and demanding his way. He can't budge our owners into doing something they don't want to never mind the biggest club in the world.

Re: Trippier to Manchester United
What a crock of sh1t. We played two promotion seasons under SD where we scored plenty of goals and were attractive. He has built a team to survive in the PL, on peanuts.CFS wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 7:59 pmWe played a handful of games under dyche where it has been attractive if I'm right them players were capable and that football became non existent.

If Tarks has had his head turned by clubs being refused his transfer and can leave for free next year WTF can SD do about that. Gibson was signed in case Ben Mee didn’t, so it didn’t work out for him tough sh1t.
Anybody that wants to see him gone just to see attractive mid-Championship football needs their bumps feeling. Some of the best players in the world are coming ont’Turf for 5 seasons now and it’s been a pleasure to measure our lads against them.

Re: Trippier to Manchester United
You do know they’re five points off top with a game in hand (against us). And on a club record away winning streak. Nine league games in a row. Even fergie never got that.
Re: Trippier to Manchester United
I'm just saying he has t got the capabilities to manage a big club. Playing attractive football in the championship doesn't mean jack to the top clubs. As for tarks I was stating that with the pogba decision what an earth can OGS do the same as dyche nowt. Big clubs will also look at the Gibson situation and think a bit of money the guy lost his head.huw.Y.WattfromWare wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 8:19 pmWhat a crock of sh1t. Re: Trippier to Manchester United
The point on Raiola is also true. As much as I’d like to think he could, there’s no evidence to say Dyche could manage such egos.
His success has been built around good characters and predominantly hard working British lads.
While I think with a higher budget he could change his style, managing the personalities would be the big challenge.

Hasn't Vydra just penned a new deal?
Gibson fell out with a player or two didn't he?
Some sort of training ground incident, but whatever it was Gibson didn't go running to the press about it, not once.
He wouldn't be walking into the biggest club in the world either, it's Man U, not Barca, Bayern, Real etc.
Utd have fallen down the pecking order.
Ole can't handle Pogba and his agent, I'm sure there are many clubs who don't want to deal with the agent...

If KT wanted a big money 3 year deal there's no better place for him than Man Utd.
And he's better than Wan- Bissaka, at least for some time yet.

Re: Trippier to Manchester United
Me too!
Would love him back. I hope he doesn’t get tempted by United. Already playing regularly in a great side, great stadium, city, manager. Real and Barca on the wane, could be a couple of good seasons for Atletico.
Would love for him to see his contract out and then rejoin us for a couple of seasons!

The club triggered an extension clause in Vydra's contract. His agent called it "a big, unpleasant surprise."GodIsADeeJay81 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 10, 2020 11:39 pmVydra who signed a contract extension a few weeks ago Vydra?

Re: Trippier to Manchester United
I've kept up perfectly well.
Vydra has been reported as saying he's happy with the extension, to feel wanted and his family is settled.
If you're on about his agent, that would be the same person who said Reading paid too much for Vydra when they signed him on loan... First time I've ever heard an agent say that.

Re: Trippier to Manchester United
Atletico currently top of La Liga with two games in hand on some. Could be a mistake to leave in Jan with probably the best chance he'll have to win a major title. Makes sense for him to stay for the rest of the season, win some silverware then return to his footballing home in the summer.
See you next summer Tripps

Re: Trippier to Manchester United
Not really, the agent isn't really causing much hassle, just dribbling nonsense.
Pogba's agent is a different beast entirely, is known for causing disharmony and regularly moving his clients to line his pockets further.
Problem with Pogba is he isn't justifying any clubs paying out huge sums of money for him because he's massively underperforming.

Reading topics like this on here makes you realise we need to get back to having fans in the ground.
So many are being denied their chance to vent their spleen at Dyche and get some protests going.
