WTF is that ref playing at? Pulev turns his back and runs away and gets a standing 8 count. Then when he goes down again gets about 20 seconds to recover

Always find it funny when people expect two world level boxers to essentially be windmilling at each other non-stop for 36 minutes like they’re having a barney in town on a Saturday night.

Windmilling? I doubt anybody expects them to be doing that.

Pulev has a hell of a jaw

4 times he took 3 or 4 uppercuts and stood up to them.

Joshua wins.

Tyson fight for Spring, then summer when it's delayed, then next Winter once they stop getting injured tripping over a cobweb.

Very good performance by Joshua. Pulev took some right punishment.

The 3 guys currently that would take Joshuas titles, Fury, Usyk and Wilder all for their own differing reasons.

Hunter would also give Joshua problems

Good fight. Classy stuff from AJ although maybe should have finished earlier. Pulev took some real punishment, fair play to him. He looked dead after the knockout, but 3 seconds later was back on his feet ready to go again.

Joshua takes nine rounds to beat a 39 year old Bulgarian journeyman yet Tyson Fury is hiding from him?

Neither of them are shy of fighting each other, or hiding. Boxing is just full of politics and these things take far too much time.

And don't be an idiot, Pulev was a mandatory challenger to the world champion after winning 8 on the bounce.

The ref saved him in the third. That long delay after the clean knock down gave him enough recovery time and took seconds off the clock.

it doesn't matter that it took him 9 rounds anyway. He won by a huge margin, and Pulev has a granite chin. How good was Otto Wallin, who went the distance with Fury and cut him badly, if Pulev is a journeyman

So no surprises.

I think it's more a case of whether Joshua will accept the Tyson challenge.

It's the perfect time now (if crowds are allowed back). AJ has built up enough fitness to go 12 rounds and Fury has come back to peak fitness from 29 stone.

Another journeyman. How good is/was Andy Ruiz?

This could go on all night but only one of them is an undefeated champion who’s never really been troubled in his career and it isn’t ‘AJ’.

No. It's a fight when people - not just boxing fans - people - come together and have a grin and a few pints together. It's a fight when those in the pub are suddenly boxing experts.

It's a fight that actually makes boxing a sport worth watching.

Never been troubled? He was 1 second away from being knocked out from Wilder. He is a class above Wilder no doubt, but Wilder himself had fought no one except Ortiz. If you're going to compare resumes, there's absolutely no comparison especially given Fury has had 7 more fights. Which matters because AJ has done what he's done in an impressive timeframe.

AJ:
Pulev
Ruiz
Povetkin
Parker
Takam
Klitschko
Molina
Breazeale
Martin
Whyte

Fury:
Wilder
Wallin
Schwartz
Pianeta
Seferi
Klitschko
Hammer
Chisora
Abell
Cunninghan

If you think Furys better that's totally fine, but don't try and tell me Joshua's rubbish. You don't achieve what he's achieved in heavyweight boxing without class. Fury may well win, but there's no doubt he'll face the best opponent he's faced so far in Joshua. Don't buy Fury's trash talk, he knows he's in a fight.

Where have I said Joshua is rubbish? I certainly don’t think he’s rubbish at all.
