Messageboard freezing?
Noticed recently that when accessing this MB via my mobile (Android) it sometimes seems to 'freeze' when midway through typing any reply to posts.
Sometimes I can press the 'back' button and resume but sometimes it just freezes altogether and the only way to clear it is to exit out of the site via the 'home' button on my phone (and obviously anything I've already typed is lost).
Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this (maybe it's just my phone) ?
Doesn't seem to do it when accessing the MB via my desktop PC

Re: Messageboard freezing?
Does it on mine too occasionally VC but when I press the □ button on my Samsung S9+ and go back into Google Chrome everythings still there. So doesn't worry me too much.Vintage Claret wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 3:13 pmNoticed recently that when accessing this MB via my mobile (Android) it sometimes seems to 'freeze' when midway through typing any reply to posts.

(I thought perhaps my phone was "flatlining" occasionally because I am a "Coronary waiting to happen" & being a "Fat c***" as someone so eloquently put last evening ...)

It does it on my android phone too. What I do is tap on the three lines that brings up all your open pages and then select UTC and it resumes as normal without losing your message

Is your phone a few years old, or very new?THEWELLERNUT70 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 4:09 pmIt does it on my android phone too. What I do is tap on the three lines that brings up all your open pages and then select UTC and it resumes as normal without losing your message
It happens sometimes with me, but my phone is 5 years old, so I put it down to that.

It could do with getting updated to a more modern format imo.

Re: Messageboard freezing?
It might need a reset. I've read that phones are programmed to purposely get slower, so the user buys a newer model - it wouldn't surprise me if that's the case.THEWELLERNUT70 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 4:45 pmSamsung Galaxy s9 which is just short of two years old

It has the latest Android OS though.
