St Mirren send Rangers tumbling out of the Scottish League Cup, a glorious chance of silverware blown by Gerrard's team, after Celtic crashed out in the previous round.

Typical of Liverpool they always find a way to nick a winner, a slight gap opening up at the top now.

I'd have settled for a draw between Fulham & Brighton, both spilling 2 points is ideal for us, keeps all the bottom 5 tightly packed which is what we want.

Southampton in third place only getting a draw at Arsenal when we won shows game results can be a bit random hence City beating us 5-0 is not relevant in the context of West brom drawing with them, or something like that. As Sean says, take each game at a time.
