Goal keeper drop kicks

Watch them. I reckon 80% of them are outside the area. Including Pope. Is that not a red card offence?

This was discussed some time ago, there's nothing wrong with the way they do it as long as the ball doesn't touch the hand over the line. If you watch closely they throw they release the ball before their hands go over the line.

That's what they are trying to do...some bad timing!

Hardly any keeper drop kicks it these days, not good old Marlon Beresford style anyway.

I think we once hit a free kick against Watford for keeper kicking or stepping out of penalty area. But pretty certain it was pre Premier league time ? No doubt somebody will have a beettt memory than me or correct me if I am wrong.

He was sent off for deliberate hand ball, both stands were going mad each time he kicked it so I think the Lino stayed back to watch and flagged for hand ball. I remember it well but cannot think who it was.

It was Ben Foster for Watford. We won 4-1 and Jon Harley scored the free kick against Foster. Replays showed that he released the ball well inside the area on every occasion.

Villa’s keeper had a very strange technique tonight and seemed to take it out of the box almost every time.
